Rebellious youth target Iranian regime’s executive apparatus

Reporting by PMOI/MEK

Iran, February 19, 2020— “Participation in the election is a religious obligation… The enemy wants to disappoint people from the election…” said the Iranian regime’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei on February 18. Regime officials’ statements show that the parliamentary election is very critical for the regime, and the regime tries to falsely show the West that it has widespread support among the Iranian people. The regime also needs to feed its allied media.

The Iranian people, who have suffered for 40 years from lack of freedom and proper life situation, reject the regime in its entirety. Boycotting the election is now a certain issue for the Iranian people as their posts in social media and media’s report show. Indeed, the nationwide uprising in November 2019 was the last nail to the regime’s coffin and showed the world that the Iranian people want the overthrow of this regime.

The Interior Ministry will be conducting the election process on Friday, February 21.

In parallel to boycotting the election, the rebellious youths targeted the regime’s Interior Ministry on February 17 in Tehran. The Interior Ministry of Hassan Rouhani’s government also played a critical role in suppressing the Iranian people's nationwide uprising in November 2019.

The rebellious youths also targeted the regime’s primary center for torture and suppression under mullahs’ Sharia Law in Isfahan called “Tazirat.” The act that brought happiness to the Iranian people’s hearts, especially those who were tortured and suffered through Tazirat’s medieval punishments.

PMOI/MEK Resistance Units also continue their campaign against the regime’s election. They install banners of the Iranian Resistance President-elect Maryam Rajavi in public places spreading her message on the regime’s election process, “Boycotting the election show is a national duty and the Iranian people’s loyalty to 1,500 martyrs of the November uprising.”

“My vote is to overthrow the mullahs,” Resistance Units wrote on walls and in their banners installed in Tehran, Isfahan, Karaj, Qaemshahr, Saveh, Mahshahr, Qom, Kashan, and many other cities.

MEK Resistance Units also took to graffiti against the regime’s icons and their so-called election. They wrote, “Down with Khamenei, Viva Rajavi.”

The resistance units also foiled the regime’s agenda in presenting a fake opposition supporting the ousted monarchy in order to distract the attention to the regime’s alternative National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and PMOI/MEK. Among their banners and graffiti, they also wrote, “Neither the crown (monarchy) nor the turban (mullahs). Mullahs, your days are numbered,” and “Viva Mojahed. Down with the tyrant, be it the Shah or Khamenei.”

At the same time, the rebellious youths destroyed the regime’s icons by torching banners of Ali Khamenei and the regime’s annihilated General Qassem Soleimani in Tehran, Najafabad, Nishabur, Bidokht, Parandak, and Karaj.
