Iran: PMOI/MEK network marking Massoud Rajavi’s release anniversary

Iran, Jan. 19, 2019 - January 20 marks the 40th anniversary of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi’s release from prison in 1979 during the final days of the Shah’s dictatorship. Members of Resistance Units, a network associated directly to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), are commemorating this occasion with various activities in several cities.



Members of Resistance Unit 301 in Rasht, northern Iran, set fire to a large poster of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and regime founder Khomeini.



In East Azerbaijan Province, northwest Iran, members of a resistance unit set fire to a Khamenei poster at a border crossing. They also put up a poster at the scene sending a message saying the mullahs’ prisons will crumble as did those of the shah.

Members of resistance units in Amol, northern Iran, put up posters of Massoud Rajavi and Iranian opposition President Maryam Rajavi in various parts of the city. These posters also read, “Death to Khamenei, the dictator – Hail to the PMOI/MEK – Hail to Massoud Rajavi.”

In Tehran, members of a resistance unit put up posters of Massoud Rajavi with subtitles reading, “The world should know Massoud Rajavi is our leader.”



A member of Resistance Unit 940 in Tehran put up a poster and sent a message saying, “To Khamenei and all his operatives I say there is no fleeing the people’s wrath. Your regime being overthrown is certain. The criminals ruling Iran should know that Resistance Units cannot be destroyed. You may arrest us. You may jail us. You may sentence us to death and execute us. However, resistance units are willing to sacrifice their all to keep the fire of Iran’s uprising alive until this regime is overthrown. Hail to the heroic people of Iran hail to the PMOI/MEK, Death to Khamenei.”

In Qom, central Iran, members of a resistance unit sent a message congratulating Massoud Rajavi on this day, adding in Iran people are waiting for him and Maryam Rajavi.

Members of resistance units in Mashhad, northeast Iran, sent a similar message.

In Kerman, south-central Iran, members of resistance units took to graffiti to mark this day.

In Farrokhshahr, southern Iran, members of resistance units put up posters of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi with subscripts reading, “This is the year the loathed mullahs’ will be overthrown – In 2019, the Iranian Resistance and uprisings across Iran will push forward until final victory – This is the voice of the Iranian people that is now heard across the globe.”
