Iran, June 5, 2019 – June 3 marks the death of Iranian regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini, who hijacked the 1979 anti-monarchist revolution, bringing nothing but death and destruction for the Iranian people.
In cities across the country, members of “Resistance Units,” a network affiliated to the Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), were conveying the Iranian people’s hatred vis-à-vis Khomeini and his entire mullahs’ regime. These expressions were voiced through attacks on images of Khomeini and other regime icons.
In Lorestan Province, western Iran, members of Resistance Unit 990 set fire to a large pro-regime billboard marking Quds Day – the last Friday in the month of Ramadan – containing images of Khomeini.
In Kermanshah, also in western Iran, members of Resistance Unit 1005 set fire to a billboard containing images of the deceptive Khomeini.
In Mazandaran Province, northern Iran, members of Resistance Unit 205 pulled down and tore apart Quds Day images on the walls of a building allocated to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Basij paramilitary forces.
It is worth noting that the U.S State Department recently designated the IRGC as a “Foreign Terrorist Organization” (FTO).
In East Azerbaijan Province, northwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 721 set fire to a Khomeini billboard.
In West Azerbaijan Province, also in northwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 983 set fire to a large Khamenei billboard.
In Golpayegan, southwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 702 set fire to a sign and entrance of an IRGC Basij base.
In West Azerbaijan Province, northwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 250 set fire to an IRGC Basij building.
Members of Resistance Unit 569 also in this province set fire to a large Khamenei sign.
In Karaj, west of Tehran, members of Resistance Unit 567 set fire to a Khomeini image.
In Zahedan, southeast Iran, members of Resistance Unit 630 set fire to the sign of an IRGC Basij base.
And in Tehran, the country’s capital, members of Resistance Unit 245 set fire to a large Khamenei poster.
