Sweden, August 20, 2019—A group of supporters of the Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) rallied on in downtown Gothenburg Saturday, August 17, protesting the visit by the Iranian regime’s sanctioned Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to Scandinavia. They also expressed their support for the Iranian Resistance and ongoing popular protests throughout Iran.
Freedom loving Iranians were seen holding signs reading:
– The Iranian people are seeking to topple the mullahs’ regime
– Zarif get lost
– Javad Zarif, the diplomat-terrorist of Iran’s regime, should be expelled
– Support the Iranian people to overthrow the mullahs’ terrorist dictatorship
– Support freedom and democracy with Maryam Rajavi
They were referring to Iranian opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). These PMOI/MEK supporters were also seen holding images of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi along with Iran’s true flag, the Lion and Sun.

Iranians rally Sweden, protesting Zarif’s Scandinavia visit and criticizing regional governments for accepting the sanctioned top diplomat of a terrorist regime–August 17, 2019
Zarif met with the President and Foreign Minister of Finland on Monday in Helsinki, followed with a joint press conference with his Finnish counterpart. Previously he had met officials in Kuwait on Sunday and he'll meet officials in Sweden on Tuesday, in Norway on Thursday, and in France on Friday. Next week Zarif has plans to visit China and Japan.
