Albania, 16, 2019 – “Free Iran” conference held by the Iranian opposition NCRI receiving major media coverage.
The Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) held its annual “Free Iran” conference on July 13 in Ashraf 3, home to members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), in Tirana, Albania. The PMOI/MEK is the cornerstone member of the NCRI.
Getty Images posted a number of photos covering the Free Iran conference showing PMOI/MEK members attending the event at Ashraf 3. NCRI President Maryam Rajavi, Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Senator Joseph Lieberman, Governor Tom Ridge, and a PMOI/MEK Honor Guard welcoming the international dignitaries were portrayed in these posts.
Agence France Presse also posted images of the Free Iran rally in Ashraf 3. This conference, titled “120 Years of Resistance for a Free Iran in Ashraf 3,” was held in the PMOI/MEK’s new home in Tirana Albania. The images included NCRI President Maryam Rajavi, Mayor Giuliani, Sen. Lieberman, Governor Ridge, PMOI/MEK members at the “Free Iran” event and an Honor Guard welcoming the renowned dignitaries attending the conference.

Hundreds of lawmakers, officials, and dignitaries from around the world traveled to Albania this weekend to take part in the 2019 Free Iran rally, including former U.S. Vice Presidential candidate and Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
The conference was held at ‘Ashraf 3’, the headquarters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (Mujahedin-e Khalq, MEK or PMOI), and also featured Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi as the keynote speaker.

Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) was the keynote speaker on Saturday, July 13th in the annual ‘Free Iran’ conference of the Iranian opposition in Albania.
With notable lawmakers, officials and dignitaries in attendance, Rajavi criticized the current Iranian regime’s long rule which has lasted for more than four decades that have witnessed unprecedented “tragedies and massacres”, saying that the regime will not see any progress if it does not abandon “terrorism and interference in internal affairs.”

For the first time, hundreds of international dignitaries attended a conference alongside thousands of Iranian opposition members in Albania. This international conference portrayed the PMOI/MEK’s increasing international positioning as the democratic alternative to the Iranian regime.
Mayor Giuliani described the PMOI/MEK as freedom fighters, emphasizing that the NCRI, led by Madam Rajavi, is the alternative against the horrific and terrorism mullahs’ regime.
Hundreds of Albanian dignitaries and politicians also attended the event.
