“Delay in vaccination has made us a bad example for the world. The most important element in this regard is the politicization of this issue… One of the most important reasons why our country has been unsuccessful in managing the coronavirus, alongside delays in vaccination, is the fact that science and expertise matters have been politicized and turned into ideological issues, especially when it comes to medicine. We never see good results when science is politicized,” said the head of the regime’s own Medical Apparatus Higher Council on Saturday, according to state TV.

“The number of coronavirus patients is extremely high. We rank first in the numbers of deaths and new cases. During the past two or three months, Iran had one of the highest transfer rates in the world and the changes in the virus genes are rendered in high transfer rates. Therefore, in Iran we have variants and mutations that may be even worse than delta and lambda,” said Shervin Shokuhi, a member of the Scientific Committee in the regime’s National Council of Resistance of Iran, on Saturday, according to the semi-official ILNA news agency.

“It is estimated that 51,000 children lost their mothers or fathers, and they need support. Last year we asked the Health Ministry several times to introduce to us children without caretakers to place them under care if necessary. However, they have not provided us any statistics to this day,” said Masoud Farid, deputy of the regime’s Health Organization, on Saturday, according to the state-run Salamat News outlet.

“We still have a high number of patients in ICUs and the death toll will not decrease until this number is decreased,” said a senior official in Tehran’s Masih Daneshvari Hospital on Saturday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“We have 3438 coronavirus patients hospitalized, of which 504 are in ICUs, and in the past 24 hours we have lost 41 patients,” according to a statement released Saturday by the Isfahan and Kashan Medical Sciences universities.

“During the past 24 hours 27 coronavirus patients have lost their lives. We have 325 patients in ICUs, of which 77 are under ventilators,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Saturday, according to the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.

“Currently we have 750 coronavirus patients hospitalized, of which 208 are in ICUs. In the past 24 hours we have had 15 reported deaths,” said the dean of Qom Medical Sciences University on Saturday, according to the state-run IMNA news agency.
