Analysis by PMOI/MEK
Iran, Sept. 11, 2018 – Following remarks by Iranian Communications Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi regarding the regime’s inability to prevent the PMOI/MEK’s activities in social media, a regime expert acknowledges the fact that the activities of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran has increased during the past year, linking the PMOI/MEK network inside Iran to the leading organization based abroad.
Telegram, the popular messaging app used by over 40 million people inside Iran, and Instagram should be considered as critical threats for the country, according to the social media researcher cited by a state-run news agency.
Tehran Press news agency shed light on the regime failing against the PMOI/MEK in regards to the internet, adding “the enemy” has inflicted severe blows to the Iranian regime through this medium.
“It should be noted that on the internet, especially Telegram, the enemy and especially the [PMOI/MEK], have gained complete control… The terminology of regime change is gaining complete control in social media networks today. If not 100%, a very significant percentage of the context is influenced by regime change terminology used specifically by the PMOI/MEK… These days we see many children of highly devoted individuals linked to the state are completely engulfed in social media platforms completely influenced by the [PMOI/MEK].”
Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei himself has said social media has become a “killing ground” for Iran’s younger generation, meaning this platform has become a center where the youth are becoming informed about the country’s true status.
It’s interesting how the Iranian regime continues to fail in confronting this “threat” despite having access to an entire propaganda apparatus.
It has become obvious for the mullahs’ regime that the Iranian people want them gone, and as they gain access to the PMOI/MEK’s criteria, they’re realizing the potential of their country and how the mullahs pose the main obstacle.
