While more than 12,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, over 30,000 have been injured, and hundreds of thousands have been displaced, Iranian regime president Ebrahim Raisi, described the Gaza tragedy as a catalyst for “global justice and order.”
Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei and his representatives in Friday prayers, while taking advantage of the Gaza tragedy for their own evil ends, are unable to hide their vicious happiness over the disasters in Gaza.
Ali Saeedi Shahroudi, the head of Khamenei’s political ideological bureau, expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the war in Gaza and said, “It seems that this action was very timely, very appropriate, and very necessary. Now, if we refer to its achievements, we understand that the cost was worthwhile compared to what those achievements will bring for humanity… It will become evident in the foreseeable future.” (Source: State-run Baran network, November 18)
On November 10, Alireza Arafi, the Friday prayer leader of Qom, described the displacement and killing of children in Gaza as a “great achievement” for the regime. He stated, “This new phase and the formation of a new front within Palestine and the resistance axis were great achievements that are worth all the difficulties and problems for the Palestinian people and Muslims worldwide.”
The Iranian regime believes that they can use the blood of children and the miseries of the Palestinian people as a shield to protect the regime against uprisings. They consider the bloody war in Gaza not only as an achievement but also as a great opportunity for the survival of the regime.
On November 15, state-run Resalat newspaper, in response to the question whether it was worth it, despite the thousands of Palestinian casualties, wrote, “Absolutely! The Gaza Strip has been under complete siege for about 15 years, and normal life is not happening.”
On October 28, state-run Bahar News website, while expressing astonishment at the cultural and literary approach of the regime officials regarding the tragedy of Gaza, wrote: “They analyze everything within a domestic political framework and have no regard for their own political literature. They don’t care whether this literature is understandable or relevant to the people of the world and other governments. They tailor their literature to suit their limited audience within the country because their concern is neither Palestine nor Israel.”
Kamal Kharazi, the president of the regime’s Strategic Council of Foreign Relations, described the killing of Palestinians as a normal, trivial issue and a prelude to strategic victory for the regime. He stated, “Of course, Palestinians are accustomed to a life accompanied by the slaughter and crimes of the regime… Therefore, they are prepared to pay such costs in the face of a strategic victory.”
Regime foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian recently justified the regime’s satisfaction with a war that brings nothing but destruction and massacres for the people of Palestine. In a televised interview, he stated, “If we don’t defend Gaza today, tomorrow we will have to defend against these bombs in children’s hospitals in our own cities.”
This basis and foundation of the theory of survival in the ideology of Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the mullahs’ regime, and Khamenei, which has been implemented in various forms. Khamenei, as a warmonger, seeks to use war as both a cover for suppression, and as a barrier against the uprisings that can uproot the regime. For this reason, he sees war as an opportunity for the survival of the regime and cannot conceal his joy and satisfaction from the slaughter and devastation in Gaza.
