In her speech addressing the grand rally of Iranians demonstrating in Paris on the 46th anniversary of the anti-monarchic revolution, Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said that the Shah and the mullahs “sought to extinguish and bury Iran’s revolution. But under Massoud Rajavi’s leadership, the flames rose from the ashes, burning brighter than ever.”
A clear example and proof of this statement was the very demonstration in Paris—a massive gathering that reflects the living spirit of the revolution and the political and social realities of Iranian society on the brink of change.

One powerful and meaningful aspect of this demonstration was the active participation of three generations of Iranians. The first generation was the one that created the 1979 revolution—a generation that endured repeated massacres, imprisonment, and relentless propaganda but rose from the flames and blood. It did not retreat into itself or become passive; instead, it persisted and multiplied in the next generation.
The second generation is also deeply scarred by the oppression and tyranny of the criminal mullahs—whether they are those who remain inside Iran, fighting on the ground, or those abroad, who, despite being far from home, continue to raise their voices in solidarity. This generation has never forgotten the suffering of the people and their homeland. They are the supporters of the Iranian Resistance who for four decades have marched through the streets of cities across multiple continents, enduring the cold and heat, raising the flag of resistance and justice, and amplifying the suppressed voices of their captive compatriots to the conscience of the world.
This generation has also passed on the message of resistance and revolution to the next—the third generation. These are the Resistance Units inside Iran and the Iranian youth abroad whose passion and fervor were visible in this demonstration. We saw that they live and breathe with the love and memory of their homeland, where their roots lie. Their hearts beat in sync with the pain and suffering of the people in chains. Their pulse aligns with the Resistance Units, and they desire nothing but the freedom of Iran and support for their fellow revolutionaries and those who ignite uprisings.
The unity and solidarity of these three generations in the grand demonstration in Paris is an unparalleled phenomenon, proving that Khomeini and his remnants have failed in their sinister mission. They have not managed to turn Iran into a symbol of disgrace, nor have they been able to tarnish and degrade human values such as revolution and sacrifice. Moreover, they have been unable to extinguish the powerful force unleashed by the anti-monarchic revolution.
The third generation speaks passionately about the ideals of freedom and a liberated Iran of the future. They declare themselves as the torchbearers of Fatemeh Mesbah, a 13-year-old PMOI member who was executed by the regime, and speak of the pledge they have made to the people of Iran and the Resistance. They are determined to play their part in liberating their homeland so that Iranian children will no longer have to search for food in the garbage.

Indeed, the unity and alignment of these three generations in the ranks of the resistance—despite the torrent of lies, slander, and demonic propaganda that the deceptive clerical regime and its allies have poured upon them—is a testament to the true spirit of Iran’s hundred-year struggle for freedom and democracy.
The reality is that this revolutionary outcry and this anthem of freedom are the lawful outcome of a blood-soaked and unyielding resistance that, even in the most complex circumstances, has prevented the Iranian people and history from surrendering to the evil forces that have usurped the people’s revolution and occupied their country. It has ensured that distance from the homeland and a life of safety abroad do not erase the memory of the nation and the suffering of its people.
This is a resistance that has kept the flames of struggle and rebellion ever-burning. Now, at the dawn of its 47th year of resistance against the mullahs’ regime, it demonstrates its commitment to keep the banner of the revolution high.
