Iran, August 23, 2021—The Statistics and Information Center of the Ministry of Health in Iran has warned about the increase in Covid-19 cases and the rising death rate among those vaccinated. This warning indicates the complete failure of the regime’s vaccination program.
The death rate among those vaccinated, especially people over the age of 60, is tens of times higher than the global average. The Information Center of the Ministry of Health, after examining this situation in the Scientific Committee of the Tehran Covid-19 Task Force, emphasized: "The irregular gap between the first and second doses, and neglection regarding the type of vaccine used for people are among the main factors leading to more deaths."

"So far, more than 91,000 people who received the first dose of the vaccine have been infected with Covid-19 after two weeks and have been admitted to hospitals. The average age of these individuals is between 60 and 90 years old," the center added.

About 8,500 of those hospitalized have died, mostly in their 70s and 80s. According to the report, among those who received two doses of the vaccine and have been fully vaccinated, about 23,000 once again contracted the virus.

In the past few days, Iran’s daily death toll set a new record with nearly 700 deaths in one day.

The announcement of this number of people who died of covid in Iran comes at a time when many countries around the world have been able to reduce the number of deaths by general vaccination.

The Health Ministry has announced that over 16,494,000 million people have received the first dose of covid vaccine, and over 5,635,000 million have received the second dose of this vaccine.

Meanwhile, Iranian customs officials have announced that 24.5 million vaccine have been imported to Iran so far. According to these statistics, the largest imported vaccine is the Chinese Sinopharm, with 17.91 million doses in 20 shipments arriving in Iran to this day. According to published reports, the death toll from the fifth coronavirus wave in Iran has been higher than previous waves.

Ali Sharifi Zarchi, head of the Statistics and Information Technology Management Center, in a report and analysis to the Ministry of Health, presented the number of covid hospitalizations and deaths in Iran after vaccination and said that some indicators are much higher than the statistics announced by some countries.

The report also noted that 2,490 people died after receiving the second dose of the vaccine, of which 1,411 tested positive, 682 negative, and the test result of 397 were unknown. The report emphasizes that international studies claim thathe t possibility of Covid-19 becoming worse and people dying two weeks after receiving the second vaccine dose is very low.

According to the report, taking into account the population of 2,749,356 people who had been vaccinated for at least two weeks. The death rate of people who have been vaccinated for more than two weeks is 753 per million. The declared index in some countries is less than ten per million. The report emphasized that "the fifth wave of the delta variant occurred at a time when it has been a few weeks since some vaccine brands have been in use, while other brands are still being injected."

220,000 people infected by Covid each day

“Each day 220,000 people are contracting Covid-19. The number of deaths per day will continue to rise for another three weeks. How ceremonies are held can be effective in controlling the illness,” said Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence & Security (MOIS).

He based this estimate among those who do not take the covid test. According to official statistics, an average of 40,000 new Coronavirus cases are reported these days. Harirchi stressed that the trend of infection and hospitalizations in 14 provinces has stabilized and is somewhat declining. The death toll is expected to rise in the next three weeks, he added.

However, regime Health Minister Saeed Namaki said in a provincial meeting of the Covid-19 Task Force that coronavirus will go through multiple mutations in the future and would likely make the future vaccines ineffective.
