Writings of PMOI martyr Hamed Validi reveal the regime’s ultimate fear of the Resistance Units

On Monday, April 20, 2026, the Iranian regime executed 45-year-old civil engineer Hamed Validi and 38-year-old technical worker Mohammad (Nima) Massoum Shahi. To justify the hanging of these two political prisoners, state-run media launched a massive disinformation campaign. They falsely branded the men as members of a “spy network linked to Mossad” to deliberately conceal their true identity as devoted members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

However, the handwritten letters and videos of Hamed Validi exposes the regime’s “foreign spy” narrative as an absolute fabrication. The letter reveals his true identity: a deeply committed Iranian patriot and a commander of the PMOI’s Resistance Units who dedicated his life to the freedom of his country.

In a letter he wrote on March 21, 2025 Hamed pledges his allegiance to God, the Iranian people, and the leadership of the Iranian Resistance. He wrote: “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. I, Hamed Validi, on the first day of the new year, the year 1404, which coincides with the Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Decree)… renew my vow and covenant with God and the people, with the leadership of the PMOI, and with the martyrs of the path of freedom.”

The clerical regime fears the PMOI’s organized network inside Iran more than any other threat. Hamed’s letter confirms this worst nightmare: highly educated professionals actively organizing domestic uprisings to overthrow the dictatorship.

He pledged his absolute dedication to this cause, writing: “I pledge to be with the path and ideals of the Mojahedin until my last breath and last moment… I commit to pushing aside all obstacles on the path of struggle until the overthrow of this regime.”

Hamed also made clear his adherence to the PMOI’s core democratic principles, specifically the rejection of both the former monarchical dictatorship and the current religious tyranny.

He wrote: “Our commitment is to maintain fiery boundaries to stand against any kind of Shah and mullas, and we are steadfast and resolute on this boundary.” By emphasizing this boundary, Hamed positioned himself as a true champion of a democratic republic.

Hamed closed his letter by expressing his hope to “take up the banner of the great commander Mousa Khiabani,” a legendary PMOI hero. He ended with the ultimate pledge of readiness for the destruction of the mullahs’ regime: “Present, present, present.”

The regime labels heroes like Hamed as “Mossad spies” because the truth is too dangerous for them to admit. Acknowledging that a 45-year-old civil engineer willingly risked his life for the PMOI exposes the total failure of the regime’s decades-long propaganda campaign to erase the Resistance. Hamed Validi’s final written words stand as a testament to his unbreakable spirit, ensuring that his true identity as a fearless commander of the Iranian
