Amidst a heavy security presence and strict surveillance, PMOI Resistance Units in the city of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province, carried out a series of widespread activities on Friday, June 13. These actions included hanging large banners, distributing handwritten flyers, and displaying posters with clear political messages reflecting the demands of the Iranian people and challenging the ruling regime.
The slogans focused on three main themes: the regime’s nuclear crisis, a categorical rejection of both the Shah’s and the Mullahs’ dictatorships, and defiance of the policy of repression and execution.
The Nuclear Standoff and a Call for International Action
The slogans displayed in Zahedan revealed a deep political awareness of the international crisis created by the regime’s nuclear program. Banners carried messages such as: “After 20 years, the regime is caught in a trap,” and “Khamenei, with or without the atom[ic bomb], will be overthrown,” indicating a belief that the regime’s attempt to use a nuclear bomb as a guarantee for its survival has failed and that the people of Iran will overthrow the regime.

The slogans called on the international community to assume its responsibilities through the “immediate activation of the trigger mechanism” and the “dismantling of Khamenei’s nuclear facilities.” They also asserted that “the freedom of Iran is the guarantee of peace in the region and security in the world,” and that the world must “recognize the right of the Iranian people and Resistance to fight for regime change.”
“Neither the Shah’s Dictatorship, Nor the Mullahs”: A Firm Rejection of All Forms of Tyranny
A central theme of this campaign was the emphasis on the Iranian people’s rejection of all forms of dictatorship, whether the past monarchy or the current theocracy. In line with this, posters and banners featured powerful and clear slogans, including:
- “Neither the Shah’s dictatorship nor the Mullahs’ leadership; the Iranian people’s demand is a democratic republic.”
- “Baluchestan is awake; it despises the Shah and the Mullahs.”
- “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader.”
- “A dictatorship is a dictatorship, whether with a turban or a crown.”
- “The Velayat (theocracy) and the Shah’s dictatorship: one hundred years of crime.”

These slogans reflect a clear political vision within the Iranian resistance, aimed at blocking any attempt to reproduce tyranny under a different guise.
Defiance in the Face of the Execution Machine
Confronting the wave of savage executions carried out by the regime, particularly in Baluchestan, the Resistance Units raised slogans that challenged the policy of intimidation, affirming that repression will not halt the march toward freedom. Among these slogans were:
- “Neither the execution of political prisoners nor threats will stop us from overthrowing the regime.”
- “The savage executions are a sign of the deadly impasse in which the mullahs are trapped.”
- “The answer to the murder and execution of political prisoners is the fiery uprising of the Resistance Units.”
These messages demonstrate that the regime’s policy of repression is backfiring, as it only strengthens the youth’s determination to continue the struggle until the regime is overthrown.

The activities of the “Resistance Units” in Zahedan, under such oppressive conditions, serve as living proof of the continuation of organized resistance and its ability to operate under the most difficult circumstances. The diversity and political depth of the slogans prove that the struggle in Iran is not merely a reaction to economic crises but a conscious movement with a clear political project. This project aims to establish a democratic, non-nuclear republic based on freedom, justice, and equality for all people of Iran.
