The upcoming yearly Free Iran rally, scheduled for June 29, 2024, is a reminder of the capacities of the Iranian people and their Resistance movement to bring about change and fulfill the long-sought dream of freedom in Iran.
All the assets within the large family of the Iranian Resistance are the product of a long-standing perseverance and battle against the mullahs’ regime. All these achievements are the result of the golden principle of “self-reliance,” which has been the cornerstone of both individual and collective efforts in an organized resistance.
All the revelations regarding the regime’s repressive actions, regional expansionism, and nuclear programs have been the product of the coordinated work of the members of the Iranian Resistance in the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), and the supporters of the Iranian Resistance.
All the domestic and global achievements of the Iranian Resistance and its international credibility are the result of the continuous sacrifices of the members and supporters of the Iranian Resistance. These sacrifices and dedication is what has created global support for the Iranian Resistance and its goal to establish a free and democratic republic in Iran.
As we witness the expansion of the PMOI Resistance Units—particularly in 2024—is the result of the enduring influence, programs, and historical struggles of the Iranian Resistance among the rebellious generation opposed to any form of dictatorship in Iran.
The desire in Iranian society for the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime has grown to such an extent that it has led to a crisis of illegitimacy for the candidates of the regime’s sham election; the regime itself admits that it will not achieve a significant voter turnout.
When a society has bypassed all the ruling factions, when 90% of the people have boycotted and sanctioned this regime, and when government polls indicate the general disdain toward the regime’s elections and its candidates, the regime’s efforts to achieve nuclear weapons on one hand and resorting to ridiculous shows against the PMOI inside and outside Iran on the other cannot save it from the inevitable final reckoning by the Iranian people.
These unique assets and investments will once again, in the June 29 gathering, demonstrate the level of readiness of the organized Resistance movement to achieve change in Iran.
The common voice of this gathering is the urgency for freedom and democracy from any form of dictatorship—whether monarchical or clerical. This shared voice, now supported by thousands of parliamentarians and political and cultural figures, will evolve into a powerful national presence on June 29, 2024. This is the manifestation of the Iranian Resistance’s philosophy of “self-reliance” achieving the goals of the Iranian people.
This gathering presents the Iranian Resistance as the democratic alternative to the regime’s terrorism and international warmongering.
This gathering calls for the necessity of solidarity with the people of Iran, which means ending any kind of deals and appeasement with the regime and recognizing the fight against it. It means supporting their human rights, supporting the uprisings of the people and rebellious youths, supporting the rights of all minorities, supporting women’s rights, and supporting the National Council of Resistance of Iran as a credible and accessible alternative to end more than four decades of tyrannical and expansionist rule.
