Iran, October 1, 2021—Over 445,200 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 547 cities checkered across all of Iran’s 31 provinces, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) as of Friday afternoon local time, October 1. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 120,663 around a fourth of the actual figure.
The coronavirus death toll in various provinces include: 104,376 in Tehran, 36,555 in Razavi Khorasan, 29,790 in Isfahan, 27,285 in Khuzestan, 16,625 in Mazandaran, 15,984 in Fars, 15,968 in West Azerbaijan, 15,575 in Gilan, 14,915 in Lorestan, 13,038 in Alborz, 8368 in Hamedan, 8148 in Markazi (Central), 8004 in Kermanshah, 7570 in Hormozgan, 7057 in Kurdistan, 4954 in Qazvin, and 4228 in Ilam. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.
The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Friday as 235 deaths and 14,525 new cases, of which 2123 were hospitalized. Furthermore, 5841 patients are in ICUs.

“The 30 percent increase in coronavirus numbers, in comparison to the first day of this week, indicates the sixth peak is closer than we thought. We should not neglect this trend. 14,087 cases in one day have, in a domino effect, had an impact on other stats, such as those being hospitalized each day, and rendering a 36.82 percent rise and 2144 people across the country being hospitalized,” according to a Friday report wired by the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.
“90 percent of those hospitalized for contracting coronavirus have not been vaccinated. The possibility of unvaccinated people contracting the virus is five times more, being hospitalized is 29 times more and facing death is 11 times more,” said Alireza Zali, head of the Tehran Covid-19 Task Force on Friday, according to the regime’s official IRIB news agency.
“The coronavirus death toll has doubled in comparison to yesterday and the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases have increased by 42 percent,” said the dean of Qazvin Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the Tasnim news agency.
“In addition to the fact that 1779 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 54 are under ventilators and 315 are in ICUs. During the past 24 hours 21 people have lost their lives,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the Tasnim news agency.
“During the past 24 hours 421 new coronavirus patients have been hospitalized across the province. Currently we have 2411 people hospitalized, of which 401 are in ICUs. During the past 24 hours 22 people have lost their lives,” said the deans of Isfahan and Kashan Medical Sciences universities on Friday, according to the IRIB news agency.

“The total number of coronavirus patients hospitalized [in Fars province] stands at 2129, of which 219 are in dire physical conditions and in ICUs,” said the deputy dean of Shiraz Medical Sciences University on Friday after confirming 277 new patients hospitalized in the past 24 hours, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).
“During the past 24 hours 201 new patients have been hospitalized. Currently 1084 coronavirus patients in total are hospitalized, of which 219 are in ICUs and 83 are in dire conditions,” according to a statement released on Friday by the Kermanshah Medical Sciences University.
