The Social Headquarters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) inside the country, coinciding with the presidential election show of the ruling mullahs’ regime in Iran, informs the latest status and deployment of regime forces to alert and prepare rebellious youth and resistance units across Iran.
- As of Thursday, June 27, 23,000 forces from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Basij, along with 20,000 SSF (State Security Force) personnel, a total of 43,000, have been deployed in Tehran for control and suppression.
- The regime’s law enforcement command (FARAJA) is on full alert, with its police spokesperson announcing that over 220,000 forces are responsible for securing the elections. Four brigades of special units in Tehran and Special Forces in all provinces are on full alert and duty.
- The mission of the special units in Tehran is divided, with half on standby and half stationed at sensitive positions. Special unit forces “to demonstrate power” are deployed in squares, chokepoints, and important sensitive areas. They have been instructed that in case of an emergency, they must reach the location within 15 minutes.
- From the morning of June 27, headquarters and specialized forces in Tehran have been placed at the disposal of the eleven district police stations to be assigned missions if necessary. The situation is the same in important towns with a history of uprisings.
- The mission of FARAJA (Law Enforcement Command) intelligence forces is covert patrols, and on election day, they will be in contact with police stations. These intelligence patrols start their mission at 4 AM on Friday, June 28.
- All IRGC security bases in Tehran and towns are on full alert. This includes the Tharallah Security Base, the 27th Mohammad Division, Zahra and Al-Mohammad security brigades, and the Imam Ali battalions and units in Tehran and towns.
- The 22 zones under the command of IRGC Mohammad Rasul-Allah corps in Tehran are on full alert.
- Basij forces have started overt patrols in neighborhoods and areas from June 27. The intelligence and security patrols of Basij sectors will be on alert until the end of the elections.
- From the division level to Basij sectors, they are tasked with setting up checkpoints in their mission areas the night before the elections.
- IRGC intelligence forces in plain clothes and private cars are present in passageways, streets, and sensitive points.
