Propaganda banners of Qasem Soleimani destroyed in various Iranian cities

Reporting by PMOI/MEK

Iran, February 1, 2020—The Iranian regime’s propaganda machine has been tasked to depict a false image from Iran’s society after Qasem Soleimani’s death.

Torching banners of terrorist Qasem Soleimani and his leader Ali Khamenei keeps the flame of hope alive in Iranian people’s hearts. The flame that the Iranian regime tried to put out by suppressing uprisings in Iran.

In Borujerd city western Iran, rebellious youths torched a large billboard of Qasem Soleimani. The fire could be seen from a far distance.

In the capital Tehran, the youth torched a two-meter-tall billboard beside a highway. Rebellious youths took a great risk by torching the billboard in the evening rush hour and they could be arrested by the regime’s security forces’ patrols. More billboards and banners of Qasem Soleimani were torched in Tehran as the youth recorded the scenes.

As such, in the cities of Isfahan, Tehran, Bandar Lengeh, Karaj, Sari, and Amol, rebellious youths set fire to posters and images of Qasem Soleimani and the Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei in public places like parks and streets.

In Tehran and Eslamshahr, some youths lit fires on roads reminding the people and passersby of the recent uprising in November 2019. “In memory of martyrs of the Nov uprising. Down with Khamenei, Viva Rajavi,” the youth chanted slogans during their acts—in the protests of 2019 some hundred thousand people poured into streets and blocked roads on the regime’s security forces vehicles by setting trash bins and any flammable materials on fire.

While the regime attempts to save its regime from collapse, by all means, the PMOI/MEK Resistance Units and rebellious youths are escalating their activities. Their acts have now become popular in Iran’s society.

A video shows how school children try to show their hate from terrorist Qasem Soleimani in the street. They humiliate Qasem Soleimani by addressing him like what the regime’s supreme leader addresses him, “General Qasem Soleimani.” Their act is simple; however, it shows how deep is the hatred of Iranian society from the entire regime.

The Iranian regime tries to demonstrate terrorist Qasem Soleimani as a popular General instead of a terrorist with a bloody background. But the Iranian youths are responding to the regime's move by torching propaganda banners of the terrorist Soleimani. They clearly show the world that the Iranian people are disgusted with having banners of this terrorist in their districts. Looking deeper into these acts, the rebellious youths reject the entire regime with its all factions, including the so-called "reformists" who were fully supportive of the terrorist activities of Qasem Soleimani and the IRGC Quds Force.

In her statement, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) Maryam Rajavi described Qasem Soleimani’s death as an irreparable blow to the mullahs. “Qassem Soleimani was one of the most vicious criminals of Iran’s history. He was personally involved in the massacre of hundreds of thousands of people in the region and in driving millions of others from their homes. He was also the mastermind of the massacre of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK) in Camp Ashraf in Iraq, and of many other terrorist operations against the Iranian Resistance in that country, in Iran, and in other countries. With his elimination, the process of overthrowing the mullahs will be greatly expedited,” she stated on January 3rd.
