Iran: Opposition network targets mullahs’ icons

Iran, Feb. 12, 2019 – Members of a vast network of “Resistance Units” across Iran, associated directly to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), are increasing their measures against icons specifically representing the mullahs’ regime.

 

 

In Tehran, members of Resistance Unit 970 set fire to a poster of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei while chanting “Hail to Rajavi,” referring to Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

 

 

Members of Resistance Unit 850 in Arak, central Iran, set fire to a poster of Iranian regime founder Khomeini and Khamenei prior to the regime’s event marking the 40th anniversary of the 1979 revolution, hijacked by the mullahs.

 

 

In Tehran, members of Resistance Unit 900 set fire to a Khomeini poster.

 

 

Members of Resistance Unit 802 in Esfarayen of North Khorasan Province, northeast Iran, set fire to a regime poster marking the 1979 revolution hijacking, while chanting “Death to Khamenei – Hail to the PMOI/MEK.”

 

 

In Tehran, members of Resistance Unti 865 set fire to a Khomeini poster while chanting, “Hail to Rajavi.”

 

 

Members of Resistance Unit 777 in Tabriz, northwest Iran, set fire to a Khomeini-Khamenei poster.

 

 

In Ahvaz, southwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 980 set fire to a Khamenei billboard while commemorating renowned PMOI/MEK martyrs killed by the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) back in the early 1980s.

 

 

Members of Resistance Unit 200 in Borazjan of Bushehr Province, southern Iran, set fire to a Khomeini-Khamenei poster.
