Reported by PMOI/MEK
Iran- Feb. 3, 2019 – In circumstances when the Iranian regime and its entire apparatus are on high alert in fear of increasing protests and a possible new nationwide uprising, authorities are going the distance in taking measures aimed at boosting security around their bases and icons erected throughout the country.
All the while, members of Resistance Units, a vast network associated directly to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), are braving all odds and dangers, and targeting bases of the regime’s repressive forces and regime icons, setting them on fire at every possible opportunity in numerous cities. If arrested, they would certainly be placed under torture for supporting the PMOI/MEK, an act considered punishable by death under the regime’s laws.
In Babolsar, northern Iran, members of Resistance Unit 466 set fire to a poster marking the regime’s celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the 1979 revolution. The Iranian people believe Khomeini, the regime founder, and his mullah apparatus hijacked the 1979 revolution.
Members of Resistance Unit 750 in Baluchistan, southeast Iran, set fire to a similar poster containing images of Khomeini. They also wrote, “Death to Khamenei,” referring to Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and “Hail to Maryam Rajavi,” referring to the President of the Iranian opposition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). This poster was on the wall of a base belonging to the regime’s repressive forces.
In Khorasan Razavi Province, northeast Iran, members of Resistance Unit 190 set fire to the entrance of a base belonging to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Basij paramilitary units.
Members of a resistance unit in Karaj, west of Tehran, also set fire to a sign at the entrance of an IRGC Basij base while chanting, “Death to Khamenei, Hail to Rajavi,” also in reference to Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi.
In Kohgiluyeh & Boyer-Ahmad Province, southern Iran, members of resistance unit set fire to a Khomeini poster in the town of Choram while chanting, “In the name of Iran – Death to Khamenei – Hail to Rajavi.”
