As the anniversary of the 1979 revolution approaches, the Resistance Units of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Zahedan have launched a widespread campaign of spreading messages against the mullahs’ regime. Despite the suffocating atmosphere of repression and intense security surveillance, the Resistance Units managed to convey their messages calling for freedom and justice, at a time when the regime continues its brutal crackdown on dissent.

Amidst the severe security restrictions, the Resistance Units displayed slogans rejecting both the former monarchy and the current theocracy. One of the key messages that appeared on banners and leaflets read: “On the anniversary of the 1979 revolution, down with the oppressor, be it the shah or the mullahs.” This slogan reflects the firm stance of the Iranian resistance that the people reject all forms of tyranny, past or present, and strive to establish a free and democratic system.
Other messages reinforced this stance, emphasizing the unity of the people in their struggle against dictatorship. One of the slogans read: “From Zahedan to Tehran, down with the oppressor, be it the shah or the mullahs.” This statement highlights that opposition to tyranny is not limited to a specific region but is part of a nationwide uprising against oppression.

Despite the regime’s attempts to spread fear through executions and arbitrary arrests, the resistance remains steadfast. One of the banners read: “Khamenei wants to cause fear through executions, but the Resistance Units will set an example of courage.” In recent months, the regime has intensified its executions, particularly in regions with large ethnic minority populations such as Baluchestan, indicating its growing fear of the escalating resistance.
The banners also condemned the brutal repression against the Baluch people. One message stated: “The destruction of the homes of Baluch people and the killing of youth is a sign of the regime’s fear of the uprising of Baluchestan.” This highlights the regime’s systematic policy of targeting areas that show significant opposition, in a desperate attempt to suppress the movement.

In addition to political repression, the Iranian people are suffering from an economic crisis caused by the regime’s corruption and mismanagement. One of the slogans appearing on the leaflets read: “The destruction of the economy and the young generation is the special characteristic of Khamenei’s regime.” Iranian youth face widespread unemployment, poverty, and lack of opportunities as the regime continues to drain the country’s resources to fund its oppressive apparatus.
The Resistance Units also stressed the need for continued struggle against the regime, emphasizing that the only way forward is to overthrow the dictatorship. One of their messages stated: “Overthrowing dictatorship is the only solution for freedom in Iran and peace in the region.”
In response to the regime’s increasing executions of dissidents, the Resistance Units declared that the only answer is to intensify revolutionary activities. One slogan read: “The response to the murder and execution of political prisoners is the uprising of the Resistance Units.”

The messages concluded with a powerful call to action, urging the people to rise up against tyranny. One of the banners declared: “Rebels must rise and tear down the palace of the tyrants.” Another emphasized: “Organized resistance and Resistance Units will guarantee freedom and justice.”
Despite the heightened security measures, the Resistance Units in Zahedan successfully delivered their message to the Iranian people, reaffirming that the fight against dictatorship will not stop until freedom and justice are achieved.
