PMOI Resistance Units expand activities across Iran

Despite the Iranian regime’s wave of executions and repressive measures, the Resistance Units of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) are expanding their activities across every city and corner of Iran. These courageous activists are reiterating their commitment to overthrow the ruling theocracy and establish a democratic, secular republic based on the separation of religion and state.

The Resistance Units reject all forms of dictatorship, whether the shah’s monarchical regime or the mullahs’ religious tyranny. They express unwavering support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and the ten-point plan of its president-elect Maryam Rajavi, which derives its legitimacy solely from the ballot box.

In Tehran, Resistance Units hung posters of Maryam Rajavi with the slogan “No to forced hijab, forced religion, and forced rulers,” rejecting the regime’s oppressive laws and advocating for freedom of choice. Across different cities, they held placards reading “Woman, Resistance, Freedom,” the rallying cry acknowledging Iranian women’s leading role in the struggle against the misogynistic rule of the mullahs.

In Amol, placards declared “Democracy, freedom, with Maryam Rajavi,” reaffirming support for Rajavi’s democratic vision. The Resistance Units also condemned the regime’s use of executions to consolidate power, holding signs that read “Abolish death penalty.”

In other cities, the Resistance Units held placards with important highlights from the Ten-Point Plan, including the separation of religion and state, commitment to freedom of expression, as well as freedom of assembly. They also reiterated their commitment to continue the struggle against the mullahs’ regime until victory and freedom for Iran.

Through their activities, the PMOI Resistance Units reiterate the Iranian Resistance’s core principles, including the commitment to a democratic republic, separation of religion and state, gender equality, and abolition of the death penalty – a stark contrast to the ruling theocracy’s oppressive policies.
