In a wave of anti-regime activities, PMOI Resistance Units carried out a series of bold actions in various cities across Iran, denouncing the death sentences issued against six political prisoners on charges of being associated with the PMOI. The Uprising Units expressed their defiance through slogans imbued with the spirit of resistance. Among the prominent messages displayed were:
– In Tehran: “The executioner’s noose no longer affects the PMOI.” Another slogan declared: “Our response to executions is fire, fury, and uprising.”

Background
The Iranian regime’s judiciary recently sentenced six political prisoners to death on charges tied to their alleged support for the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). The verdict, delivered by Judge Iman Afshari of Tehran’s so-called Revolutionary Court Branch 26, underscores the regime’s increasingly harsh measures against its critics.
The condemned individuals—Abolhassan Montazer, Pouya Ghobadi, Vahid Bani-Amerian, Babak Alipour, Ali Akbar Daneshvarkar, and Mohammad Taghavi—face accusations of “membership in the PMOI/MEK,” “armed rebellion against the government,” and “collusion against national security.” Two others, Mojtaba and Ali Taghavi, were sentenced to imprisonment and exile, allegedly for their familial ties to one of the condemned. The sentences follow months of brutal interrogation and torture in Evin Prison, infamous for its treatment of political detainees.
The death sentences were especially meant to intimidate PMOI Resistance Units and dissuade youth from joining their ranks. But this new wave of activities by the Resistance Units against stands as a testament to their perseverance and determination. These coordinated actions across various cities demonstrate notable organizational strength and a deep rejection of the regime’s oppressive policies. As Iran stands on the brink of significant political change, these activities serve as a powerful reminder of the Iranian people’s yearning for freedom and justice.
