Iran’s rebellious hold another round of anti-regime activities to mark the anniversary of the 1979 revolution

On Tuesday, February 11, Iran’s rebellious youth carried out another round of operations to mark the anniversary of Iran’s 1979 anti-monarchic revolution, setting fire to symbols of the regime’s symbols of repression and corruption. This occurred despite the fact that, following previous rounds of operations, the regime’s security forces were on high alert.

In this round of operations, the rebellious youth targeted centers of repression and misogyny in Tehran, as well as two IRGC Basij bases. They carried out their actions under the slogans “We fight, we die, we take back Iran” and “Death to the dictator—be it the shah or the mullahs.”

In Delijan, the rebellious youth set fire to a statue of Qasem Soleimani, the notorious IRGC Quds force commander who was killed in 2020. In Tehran, they torched a large government banner on a bridge over Mowlavi Highway. The youth continued their defiant acts by burning government banners featuring images of Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, and Soleimani. These actions took place in various cities, including Tehran, Tabriz, Karaj, Isfahan, Shiraz, Ahvaz, Kerman, Sari, Bandar Abbas, Zahedan, Yasuj, Birjand, Qaemshahr, Ramsar, Borazjan, Bijar, and Tabas—delivering yet another heavy blow to the regime and its supreme leader.

Earlier, on February 19, marking the 47th anniversary of the revolution, rebellious units carried out 47 operations targeting the judiciary of executioners in Ilam, police headquarters in Kerman, and regime-controlled religious centers in Tehran and Aligudarz, as well as the government’s punitive enforcement office. Additionally, they burned government banners marking the revolution in various cities, including Tehran, Tabriz, Mashhad, Isfahan, Karaj, Rasht, Urmia, Kermanshah, Qazvin, Arak, Khorramabad, Ardabil, Birjand, Bushehr, Shahr-e Kord, Ramsar, Khorramshahr, Amol, Lahijan, Buin Zahra, Lordegan, Borujen, Jiroft, Iranshahr, Sarbaz, Khash, Sirjan, Saravan, Chabahar, and Hafshejan (in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province).

The arson attacks targeting repression and plundering centers, along with the burning of the regime’s oppressive symbols under the slogan “Death to the dictator—neither the colonialist Shah nor the reactionary mullahs,” are clear indicators of the continuation of the spirit of the 1979 revolution, which brought an end to the Shah’s tyrannical regime.

The tenth round of operations once again demonstrated that the Iranian revolution has never died. The same spirit of rebellion and uprising that stormed against the ruling oppressors in 1979 and dismantled the monarchy is now surging through the relentless struggle of the next generations against those who stole the revolution. This determination, rooted in over four decades of organized revolutionary and liberation struggles, is set to consign the rule of the mullahs to the dustbin of history.

On the anniversary of the 1979 revolution, the rebellious youth, through a series of fiery and relentless operations targeting the symbols of the absolute rule of the supreme leader, demonstrate that the banners of revolution and uprising are raised high, guided by the principle of “Neither Shah nor mullahs,” lighting the path for a people fed up with the tyranny of the regime.

Regime change and the establishment of democracy in Iran can only be achieved by the people and their organized resistance. And with their fiery operations, Iran’s rebellious youth are proving that the people have everything they need to bring about change.
