Iranian regime agents must be expelled from U.S.

by PMOI/MEK

Sept. 13, 2018 – Recent revelations have shed light on Tehran’s espionage network in the United States, especially following the arrest of “two Iranian Intelligence Ministry agents, Ahmadreza Mohammadi-Doostdar and Majid Ghorbani, spied on and plotted against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran/Mujahedeen-e-Khalq (PMOI/MEK), the largest group in the coalition, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI),” according to Prof. Raymond Tanter in his latest latest article.

Tehran intends to target its opponents anywhere in the world and reports indicate Iran’s mullahs’ believe “a target package could enable a neutralization plan, which may include apprehension, recruitment, cyber exploitation, or capture/kill operations.”

The Iranian regime has become more desperate as protests continue to spread across the country. The two agents expanded their missions by traveling back and forth to Tehran, providing information collected about the NCRI.

This Iranian opposition coalition believes the U.S. government should “prosecute and/or expel all Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) and IRGC agents, as well as undercover agents and mercenaries who pursue the regime’s plots here and in Europe.”

The Iranian regime’s agents have been able to take advantage of previous U.S. administration’s appeasement approach “to establish various covers and identities here and in Europe and thereby pursue Iran’s sinister schemes.”

U.S. law enforcement agencies need to increase their efforts to foil definitive blueprints by Tehran in the coming future. The Iranian regime is now weaker than ever before, meaning they also pose a very high threat.

Washington should go on the offensive against the Iranian regime’s espionage and terrorist plots. This will further place the U.S. administration alongside the Iranian people and their aspirations for freedom and democracy. Unique is the fact that Iran has a viable alternative presented through a very capable opposition, the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) with a platform to establish freedom and democracy for the Iranian people.
