Iran, May 20, 2019 – Garlic farmers in the city of Parsabad Moghan, located in Ardabil Province of northwestern Iran, gathered on Sunday to protest low prices for their farming crops and the regime allowing government-associated dealers into this field of work. In protest to standing in queues for hours to be able to sell their crops, the farmers blocked a road leading to the city and demanded answers and measures by local authorities.

Tehran University students’ night protest
A group of students from Tehran University in the capital of Iran gathered late Saturday night in front of the university dormitory. They were protesting the illegal eviction of one of the students from the dorm.
Fearing the spread of this protest rally, university police and repressive security forces stationed in Tehran University attacked the students’ peaceful rally in a desperate attempt to disperse the crowd. The students, however, resisted and remained to continue their protests.
