The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 126,456, around a fourth of the actual figure.

According to remarks made today by Iranian regime judiciary chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'I, the mullahs’ regime itself is to blame of the high number of coronavirus deaths. “Regarding the coronavirus issue if there had been more effort in the past and some important decisions were made, there would have been lesser deaths. If there had been certain measures for lesser people to contract the virus, would the cost be less then or now?” he said on Monday at a meeting of the regime’s Majlis (parliament) Health Commission.

“The possibility of a sixth wave beginning in [West Azerbaijan] province is extremely high, and three cities remain registered as red zones. During the past 24 hours we have lost 15 patients to Covid-19. Of the 1,071 patients hospitalized, 244 are in ICUs,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Monday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

In Mazandaran province of northern Iran, considering the increasing trend of new cases, the entire province is on the edge of a cliff. Entering the sixth peak is quite possible. There are currently have 396 patients hospitalized, of which 83 are in ICUs, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“During the past 24 hours the number of new cases increased by 68.2 percent; hospitalized per day by 35 percent; and the daily death toll doubled in comparison to yesterday,” according to a statement released on Monday by the Qazvin Medical Sciences University.

“During the past 24 hours 214 new patients have been hospitalized. There are currently 1408 patients hospitalized, of which 257 are in ICUs,” according to a joint statement released on Monday by the Isfahan and Kashan Medical Sciences universities.
