“The number of coronavirus deaths based on official stats is 100,000. If we wish to correct this, it is actually at least twice this number. However, it became clear later down the road that there is no such capability,” said a member of the regime’s Majlis (parliament) on Friday, according to the semi-official ILNA news agency.

“These days around 50,000 patients are hospitalized in medical centers and 30,000 are receiving initial medical treatment for Covid-19 symptoms,” said Deputy Health Minister Ghasem Jan-Babaie on Friday, according to the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.
