This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Sunday as 366 deaths (highest in 80 days) and 32,511 new cases. Furthermore, 5539 patients (highest in 83 days) are in ICUs and 3483 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

Health Minister Saied Namaki issued a letter to regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei calling for his intervention to impose a two-week lockdown. “We are being crushed under the weight of this illness and it is necessary to activate all of the country’s assets to seriously confront this destructive phenomenon. The more we delay this decision the scope of this catastrophe will spread and weigh heavy on the country’s shoulders,” the letter reads, according to a Sunday report wired by the state-run “Moj” news agency.

“During the past week we have witnessed a 32 percent increase in the number of people hospitalized, and a 38.2 percent increase in the death toll. Tehran has seen a 22 percent increase in the number of people hospitalized and 22.5 percent increase in the death toll,” according to a Sunday report wired by the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“As we refused to strongly quarantine the country, we are now facing a medicine shortage crisis and people rushing to pharmacies day and night. The country is facing a dead-end and official have lost control. In the coming weeks we will be witnessing the start of the sixth peak,” said a health official on Sunday, according to the state-run Arman-e Meli daily.

“There are no empty beds available. ICUs are packed with patients in dire conditions. We did not forecast such complicated circumstances, but it is now upon us,” said Masoud Mardani, a senior member of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Sunday, according to the Ruydad24 website.

“We have now clear perspective regarding this virus in the next month. All our hopes, as in the previous peaks, is for the virus to downgrade,” said a senior official of Tehran’s Loghman Hospital on Sunday. “Our health apparatus is facing very complicated circumstances. The stats are extremely high, and we are in dangerous conditions. Considering the dire fatigue that our health workers are facing, the entire health apparatus is literally crumbling,” this official added,” according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“We have yet to reach the peak of the fifth wave. All the while, if we register a black color for the coronavirus status, we have already surpassed that state,” said the deputy chair of the Golestan Health Center on Sunday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“Our health workers, despite receiving two vaccine dozes, are contracting the Covid-19 one after another. Despite our predictions, our health workers are grappling with the delta variant. During the 24 hours leading to Saturday, we saw 70 people die of coronavirus in the city of Mashhad. It is necessary to shut down the entire city for a week. All entrances and exits, including railroads, roads, and air travel should be blocked. Temporary medical centers need to be launched immediately to hospitalize our patients,” according to a statement released by the Mashhad Medical Apparatus Organization on Sunday.

“Emergency branches are packed and outside of these sections there are many patients in line. We are in dire circumstances and each day the number of new cases is rising,” according to a statement released on Sunday by the Alborz Medical Sciences University.

“Each day around 100 patients are hospitalized. This is a record number for [North Khorasan] province. The number of people hospitalized has surpassed the 450 mark for the first time in two years,” according to a Friday report wired by the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

In Gilan province the trend of the increasing number of new cases and people being hospitalized has reached a point where it can be described as a crisis. Hospitals are reaching their full capacities and non-coronavirus patients are being deprived of medical care. Health workers are fatigued, and some are breathing their last breaths, according to a Friday report wired by the Mehr news agency.
