“The coronavirus management situation is very weak in our country and the President has brought this upon us with his non-expertise decisions. There were exceptionally good solutions to control Covid-19, but the President did not act upon the warnings and solutions provided by experts and the Health Ministry. The country needs to be saved from this status quo and the solution is a strong and revolutionary government,” said a member of the regime’s Majlis (parliament) on Friday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

In Khuzestan province, medical sources are reporting the situation in the city of Dezful as critical. Over 250 people are hospitalized for coronavirus and at least 200 people per day are seeking medical care for coronavirus symptom. Fourteen branches of the city’s Ganjuyan Hospital are engaged with Covid-19. At least 12 people are dying of coronavirus per day. The medical staff cannot provide for these number of patients and people seeking medical care, and no one is available to provide any assistance.

And this is a hospital that is supported by the Dezful Medical Sciences University. The situation in other cities such as Shush, Gatvand, Shushtar and Izeh are catastrophic. They have no physicians available to see the patients, nor any nurses or hospital beds. Government vaccines are being sold at extremely high prices on the black market. Decisions made in the Dezful Covid-19 Task Force are made based on their opinions and medical professionals are merely left to round up the dead bodies. The military and Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) hospitals in Dezful are not cooperating. The IRGC is even sending its own coronavirus patients to the Ganjuyan Hospitals.

“During the past 24 hours 27 coronavirus patients have lost their lives. This is unprecedented. Markazi province is registered as a red zone, indicating the critical situation in this province,” said the dean of Markazi Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“The increasing number of new cases and deaths is unprecedented. In 2020 we had most of our positive cases in the month of June, being 3740. From March 21 to April 20 of this year we identified more than 9000 positive cases, indicating a three-fold increase in comparison to last year. This wave is escalating with each passing day and hospitals cannot cope with such demand,” said the deputy dean of Bushehr Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“1043 coronavirus patients are hospitalized. In the past 24 hours we have seen 23 coronavirus patients lose their lives,” said the dean of Alborz Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the IRGC-linked Fars news agency.

In East Azerbaijan province, the deputy dean of the local Medical Sciences University on Friday referred to a new record of hospitalized coronavirus patients. “1652 coronavirus patients are hospitalized. The increasing trend of new cases and those hospitalized for Covid-19 is extremely concerning. If this continues, we will face a shortage in hospital beds,” this official said, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

In Hormozgan province, the spokesperson of the local Medical Sciences University expressed concerns on Friday over an increasing number of new cases and those hospitalized for Covid-19. “This trend is much faster in the cities of Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, Minab, Bastak, Bashagerd, Jask and Abu Musa. In the past 24 hours we have hospitalized 123 new coronavirus patients and the total currently stands at 475, of which 72 are in ICUs and 16 are in dire conditions,” this official said, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“In the past 24 hours we have seen ten patients who tested for coronavirus lose their lives,” said the dean of Qom Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“Every 12 minutes we see a new coronavirus patient hospitalize and a Covid-19 death is reported once every three hours. If the status quo continues we will witness a crisis in our province,” said the deputy dean of Ardabil Medical Sciences University on Saturday.
