“To this day 20,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been imported and next week another 100,000 doses will arrive. The coronavirus vaccination will begin with 1,000 people per day,” said Alireza Raisi, spokesperson of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Sunday, according to the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force. “Until March 20 we will have 1.3 million people vaccinated,” he added. These remarks after months of delays by the regime in importing the vaccine. Even if this propaganda is correct, only 1.5 percent of Iran’s population will be vaccinated March 20. The regime began its vaccination propaganda today with ICU staff from various hospitals being vaccinated.

Regime President Hassan Rouhani was extremely angry over criticism regarding the mullahs’ policy regarding the Covid-19 vaccine. “For a long while they kept on saying a number of countries had launched their vaccination and why hasn’t Iran? We began today… What are they doing? Now they must go find something else and start screaming again with another excuse,” he said on Tuesday.

The regime’s Health Ministry spokesperson announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers on Tuesday as 7640 new cases in the past 24 hours. This is the highest such figure in the past eight weeks. She also said 11 provinces are considered orange zones, according to a Tuesday report wired by the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“From two weeks ago, we have been witnessing an increasing trend of the illness, specifically in the number of coronavirus patients being hospitalized. Many of the branches that we intended to shut down, now we are forced to reopen them to some extent. If this trend continues, we will most certainly see a rising number of deaths in the next two weeks,” said Masoud Mardani, a senior member of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Tuesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“We have once again returned to the harsh Covid-19 days and are forced to impose restrictions once again. Coronavirus limitations will be implemented at 9 pm this coming Saturday,” said the mayor of Dezful in southwest Iran on Saturday.

“An increasing number of positive Covid-19 cases and coronavirus patients hospitalized in Dezful is genuinely concerning. These days we have once again returned to the Covid-19 peak and half the cities in Khuzestan province are engulfed in such circumstances,” said the dean of Dezful Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

The dean of Abadan Medical Sciences University said three cities have entered their third Covid-19 wave at a very fast rate and the spread of this virus in rural areas is escalating, according to a Tuesday report on the state controlled Khabar Online website.

Officials in Razavi Khorasan, Mazandaran and Fars provinces are reporting an increasing number of new cases and patients being hospitalized for Covid-19, thus predicting a rise in the death toll in the coming weeks.
