Iran, June 1, 2019 – 30 demonstrators were arrested during a rally protesting the killing of a young man in the city of Zahedan, southeastern Iran.

Repressive state security forces shot and killed Mousa Shah-Bakhash, a young balouch man after he failed to show a drivers’ license to the police on May 25.

Sources in Zahedan say dozens of people in the southeastern city of Zahedan rallied on May 27 outside the local governor’s office protesting the killing of Shah-Bakhash demanding justice, instead, the security forces raided the protest rally arresting at least 30 protesters.

Fearing the spread of protest and developing into large unrest in that volatile city, the security forces called for back up while firing warning shots into the air to disperse the crowd.

Reports indicate that the angry crowd did not heed the warning shots attacking vehicles belonging to the state security forces and throwing rocks at the cars in order to break the line of security offense.
