Iran coronavirus update: Over 476,800 deaths, sixth peak climax estimated for January 2022

Over 476,800 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 547 cities checkered across all of Iran’s 31 provinces, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) as of Tuesday afternoon local time, November 15. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 128,406, around a fourth of the actual figure.

The coronavirus death toll in various provinces include: 111,825 in Tehran, 38,915 in Razavi Khorasan, 32,585 in Isfahan, 29,065 in Khuzestan, 17,753 in West Azerbaijan, 17,610 in Fars, 17,430 in Mazandaran, 16,595 in Gilan, 12,752 in Kerman, 8868 in Hamedan, 7950 in Hormozgan, 6063 in North Khorasan, 5980 in Ardabil, and 4505 in Zanjan. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Tuesday as 134 deaths and 6430 new cases. Furthermore, 3477 patients are in ICUs and 1053 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

“The number of cases continues to be high. Currently all administrative offices have reopened, and public transportation systems lack adequate ventilation. These can be dangerous and increase the number of Covid-19 cases. All the while, vaccination has yet to reach the desired percentage of our population,” said Minoo Mohraz, a senior member of the National Covid-19 Task Force, on Tuesday, according to the state-run Roydad24 website.

“Coronavirus conditions across the country are concerning, especially in regard to the number of new cases per day and the daily death toll,” said a senior medical expert on Tuesday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“The decision to reallow gatherings and reopen education centers indicates we have yet to understand the nature of coronavirus. This is a major strategic mistake. It is certain that we will witness the sixth coronavirus peak in late January 2022. We have yet to obtain clear and precise evidence that the virus has come under control. At a time when vaccination has yet to reach the desired percentage, one cannot guarantee that there will be no sixth peak,” said the head of Isfahan School of Health on Tuesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“During the past 24 hours 481 new cases have been registered. We currently have 826 patients hospitalized, of which 194 are in ICUs and 40 are under ventilators,” according to a statement released by the West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Tuesday.

In Kerman province, “the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized has increased and during the past 24 hours the number of daily deaths escalated significantly, reaching double digits once again,” according to a report wired on Tuesday by the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.

“Currently the coronavirus rise has begun in [Ardabil] province and with this trend we continue to witness an increase in the number of patients being hospitalized in the past few days,” said the dean of Ardabil Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“More than 90 coronavirus patients are in ICUs. We currently have 438 patients hospitalized,” said the spokesperson of Yazd Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the regime’s official IRIB news agency.
