In tandem with the “No to Executions Tuesdays” campaign, which is now in its 133rd week and supported by inmates across 59 prisons in Iran, rebellious youth and PMOI Resistance Units have launched widespread activities across the country to echo the prisoners’ demands.
From Tehran and Mashhad to Sanandaj and Tabriz, anti-regime activists are organizing acts of defiance against the Iranian regime’s systematic execution of political prisoners. Through protests, installing placards, taking photocalls, and writing graffiti, the Resistance Units are publicly demanding an end to the death penalty, proving that the brutal wave of state-sanctioned killings has failed to intimidate the Iranian public.

The regime has recently carried out a brutal wave of executions to quell dissent. Among those hanged were PMOI members Vahid Bani Amerian and Mehdi Khanaki, as well as rebellious youth arrested during the massive January uprisings, including Arvin Kheirkhahan, Abolfazl Sepahi, and Amirhossein Safari.
However, instead of erasing their legacy, these executions have immortalized them. In Arak, Resistance Units placed a wreath featuring a color photograph of Vahid Bani Amerian, bearing the message: “Dear Vahid, your memory will live forever in the hearts of the Iranian people.”
In Mashhad, a Resistance Unit activist strongly condemned the killings, stating: “I strongly condemn the execution of political prisoners Abolfazl Sepahi Badjani, Amirhossein Safari Hossein-Abadi, Mehdi Khanaki, and Arvin Kheirkhahan. Know that the path and memory of these loved ones will stay alive until freedom is achieved.”

The Resistance Units are actively working to shatter the atmosphere of fear imposed by the state, urging the Iranian public and the international community to realize that silence is tantamount to complicity.
An activist in Mashhad released a video message declaring, “Silence against the wave of executions means turning a blind eye to injustice and paving the way for these crimes to continue… Let’s be the voice of political prisoners and with all our power demand an end to executions.”
This sentiment of national unity is echoed across the nation. In Saqqez, activists emphasized that “political prisoners are not alone; the nation stands behind them,” while in Sanandaj, placards read: “From Kurdistan to Tehran, everyone is against executions.”

The regime attempts to use the gallows to intimidate a restive population, but grassroots activities prove this strategy is backfiring, generating outrage rather than submission. In Tehran, Resistance Units distributed placards explicitly warning the regime: “Every execution fuels the people’s anger.”
In Eslamshahr, rebellious youth painted graffiti reading, “Executing the youth is the shame of the rulers.” Demonstrating an unbreakable resolve to overthrow the clerical dictatorship, activists in Isfahan wrote, “From the red blood of our fallen comrades, a thousand storms will rise,” while in Karaj, placards warned the regime: “We neither forgive nor forget. We continue, bowing down is forbidden.”
The ultimate takeaway from the vast geographic scope of these protests—stretching from northern cities like Gorgan, Sari, and Babol to central provinces like Yazd and Isfahan—is that the youth of Iran refuse to be cowed by the regime’s killing machine.
Despite the omnipresent threat of arrest and execution, the Resistance Units continue to take to the streets to expand the “No to Executions Tuesdays” campaign. As perfectly summarized by a Resistance Unit poster installed in Sanandaj: “We will not be intimidated by executions; rather, our resolve for overthrow becomes firmer.”
