Iran: 8 people killed/injured in an IRGC shooting

Report by PMOI/MEK

Iran, July 24, 2019 – Members of the Iranian regime’s repressive Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) targeted a pickup truck carrying fuel in the city of Rigan in Sistan & Baluchistan province, southeast of Iran. The unprovoked attack on the vehicle belonging to a Baluchi family killed 2 and wounded 6 others.

According to an eyewitness report and locals who witnessed the attack, bullets hit the driver killing him and causing the vehicle to hit another oncoming car, resulting in the fuel to explode, engulfing both cars.

Reports indicate that the IRGC culprits fled the scene after the accident, leaving the passengers to burn in both cars.

In a similar event on Monday, another group of IRGC members targeted another car in the same province, killing two fuel merchants. The shooting took place in Saravan-Khash Road. The two victims have been identified as Abdolbaset Shekarzehi and Navid Shekarzehi.

It is worth mentioning that some residents of Iran’s eastern provinces, including the city of Zahedan and Sistan & Baluchistan province, make their living on selling fuel. They transfer fuel from other provinces to sell in their area.

The Iranian regime prevents these locals from dealing in fuel and targets them constantly, killing and injuring the carriers.

In another incident on Wednesday, June, 26, locals protested the killing of a family of three at the hands of IRGC members.

People and residents of Saravan, Zahedan province, southeast of Iran, rallied to protest the heinous and tragic death of a family of three during a shootout by repressive state security forces.

The incident happened when regime security forces were in pursuit of a car carrying fuel to be sold elsewhere.

The protesters who had gathered outside the office of the local governor said the repressive forces on Wednesday morning were in pursuit of a pickup truck carrying a number of barrels of fuel in the Ghafurabad area of Saravan.

The security forces opened fire at the truck to stop it.

That is when the pickup truck lost control and hit a Peugeot passenger car carrying a young family of three. The accident caused a large fire burning to death the occupants of the passenger car.

This incident outraged the locals, leading to families taking to the streets and condemning the authorities for being trigger happy and so careless.

As the protest and demonstration got larger, security authorities got worried that this would turn into a larger protest and an uprising. The police dispatched anti-riot guards units to disperse the crowd.

The mullahs’ ruling Iran have a history of oppression against the Baluchi minority community and specifically opening fire on locals.
