Iran: Retirees, hospital employees rally outside regime Majlis (parliament)

June 20, 2019 – Retirees from across the country gathered on Tuesday in front of the Iranian regime’s Majlis (parliament) to protest against their unanswered demands. They were heard chanting, “We cry out against such injustice.”
The protesters were carrying placards reading:

“We will not leave until our demands are met”

“Free healthcare is the demand of retirees”

“We demand the abolition of unjust discrimination against retirees and we want equal opportunity for all retirees in every material and moral aspect of our lives.”

On Tuesday, the Khomeini Hospital staff in the city of Karaj, west of Tehran, rallied again for the second day, protest unpaid wages and paychecks during the past few months. The gathering took place in front of Karaj’s Coordination Organization.
