The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Thursday as 125 death s and 14,303 new cases, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency. Furthermore, 3187 patients are in ICUs and 1560 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

“The fifth coronavirus peak began last week. This is an important alarm bell for Tehran, meaning an increase in the number of new cases more than what we are witnessing today,” said Nader Tavakoli, deputy chair of the Tehran Covid-19 Task Force on Thursday.

“The number of people hospitalized for coronavirus in [Tehran’s Rasoul-e Akram Hospital] has doubled and the fifth peak has begun,” said the head of this facility on Thursday, according to the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi said in Sistan & Baluchistan province 720 people have been hospitalized for Covid-19 on Thursday alone. “For the first time the number of new cases and those hospitalized in this province for coronavirus is above the national average. Considering the speed that the delta variant has been spreading, some cities across our province, including Zahedan, Zabol, Khash, and Iranshahr are registered as red zones,” he added, according to the regime’s official IRIB news agency.

“The number of new coronavirus cases in Sistan & Baluchistan province in the new wave is four times the previous waves. In addition to positive cases, the number of patients being hospitalized is placing enormous pressure on our hospital staffs,” said the chair of the regime’s Parliament (Majlis) Health Committee on Thursday, according to the state-run Hamshahri daily.

“The spread of coronavirus in Hormozgan province is hyper-critical. It is necessary for economic powerhouses and charities to come to the support of the provincial Medical Sciences University in such tough and costly circumstances,” said the deputy governor of Hormozgan province on Thursday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“Larestan and other cities in the southern section of Fars province have entered the fifth peak. Currently the hospitals have reached their full capacity,” said the dean of Larestan Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“Coronavirus is spreading like fire in Yazd. The number of people hospitalized has reached 500. During the past 24 hours 177 new coronavirus patients have been accepted into provincial hospitals, of which 93 were placed in ICUs,” said the spokesperson of Yazd Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the regime’s official IRIB news agency.

“The city of Bam is in critical conditions and registered as a hyper red zone. If such circumstances continue, we will most certainly be facing grave difficulties,” said the dean of Bam Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency. “From the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic to this day 36 percent of the patients in south Kerman who contracted this virus have been in the past two months. We have been in this peak for two months now with no trend of decreasing stats,” said the dean of Jiroft Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.
