While the coronavirus wave has decreased in most parts of the globe, the criminal and plundering policies of the mullahs’ regime, including its refusal to provide general vaccination, has resulted in a large portion of Iran facing a fifth wave. The number of new cases per day are increasing.

Despite all this regime President Hassan Rouhani resorted to his usual preposterous remarks. “We will have the power transition in adequate circumstances. Of course, we may see more mutations entering the country. Today, the first indigenous vaccine enters the market, and another will be arriving next week, and a third the week after that,” Rouhani claimed on Wednesday.

“Overcoming the epidemic and pandemic is an exceedingly difficult task. It will not be resolved with mere words. We need to have strong infrastructure. Iran has 1.5 hospital per 1,000 people, while the UK and France have seven,” said Alireza Raisi, spokesperson of the regime’s National Covid-19 Task Force on Wednesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“On the first day of summer season 16 people died of coronavirus in [Sistan & Baluchistan] province hospitals. This was unprecedented in the past 16 months. Our hospital beds are nearly all full of patients. We are forced to use other branches of our hospitals,” said the dean of Sistan & Balucshistan Medical Sciences University on Wednesday, according to the state-run Hamshahri daily.

“The new coronavirus wave in our southern and eastern provinces has resulted in an increase in Covid-19 deaths in these provinces, especially in Sistan & Baluchistan province. If this trend continues, we will be witnessing a higher increase in the daily death toll,” said the chair of the Majlis (parliament) Health Commission to the Health Minister on Wednesday, according to the state-run Hamshahri daily.

“All cities and towns of Hormozgan province are considered high risk areas. During the past 24 hours we have hospitalized 168 coronavirus patients and the total currently stands at 635,” said the spokesperson of Hormozgan Medical Sciences University on Wednesday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“Twenty minors are hospitalized with coronavirus symptoms. Six percent of the patients hospitalized in [Kermanshah] province are minors. Yesterday we had 12 children hospitalized in six hours,” said the head of Kermanshahi Hospital on Wednesday, according to the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

“The number of coronavirus cases in Qazvin has increased by 40 percent. The number of extremely ill patients under ventilators has increased by 16 percent in comparison to the day before,” said the spokesperson of Qazvin Medical Sciences University on Wednesday, according to the IRGC Quds Force-linked Tasnim news agency.

“During the past 24 hours we have hospitalized 124 patients. Currently we have 339 patients with coronavirus symptoms, of which 77 are in ICUs,” said the spokesperson of Yazd Medical Sciences University on Wednesday.

Head of the Shiraz Medical Sciences University in Fars province said the number of coronavirus cases are increasing. “This indicates a new rise in the virus and the possibility of a fifth peak,” this official said on Wednesday, according to the Mehr news agency.
