The conditions of Iran’s nurses deteriorate with each passing day of the Covid-19 pandemic and the mullahs’ regime continues its plundering and theft and refusing to take any effective measures to purchase vaccines for the people. “During the coronavirus pandemic even in advanced countries there were long lines. It was never so in our country and everything was fully provided for the people,” said regime President Hassan Rouhani on Monday in his continuous routine of lies. “Prices have dropped significantly in our health apparatus with expenses of hospitalization decreasing by six to ten percent. During the Covid-19 period no money was demanded, and people came and were provided medical treatment. Even people who were not Iranian and were living in Iran were covered,” he added.

Covid-19 vaccines need to be provided in due time and with the priority going to the society’s most vulnerable segments and medical professionals, said the head of Iran’s Medical Apparatus Organization. “Providing vaccines is a dire necessity and it must be procured in large quantity and in a specified/limited time period,” this official said on Monday. “Providing 50 million doses of vaccine in the next eight months is not enough. This amount needs to be procured and delivered in three months because if there is a time gap the virus’ chain reaction will not be cut off,” the official explained, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

Nurses are demanding their paychecks based on laws passed back in 2017, said the director of Iran’s House of Nursing. “Health Ministry officials claim that we have the first say in the medical world. Whereas when it comes to our workforce, we are considered among the low-classed countries. Three to four thousand people have quit their jobs during the pandemic. Since nurses are immigrating through various routes there is no exact number of how many have gone abroad. However, attempts to leave the country have increased by 300 percent among our nurses,” the official explained on Monday, according to the state-controlled Hamshahri newspaper.

“Delays continues. It has been nearly five months, and some have not been paid since last year. Covid-19 continues, and we are still waiting,” said the head of the Gilan House of Nursing on Sunday, according to Hamshahri.

“We need to hire a thousand nurses and our active nurses have not been paid in the past six months,” said the head of the Nursing Apparatus Organization on Monday in reference to Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari province, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“186 individuals are in ICUs across Fars province. With 12 dying during the past day the total death toll in Fars province stands at 2032 since the beginning of this pandemic,” said the deputy dean of Shiraz Medical Sciences University on Monday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“208 coronavirus patients are in ICUs and 52 are on ventilator support. The total death toll of those who tested positive for Covid-19 stands at 3254,” said the dean of West Azarbaijan Medical Sciences University on Monday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.
