The regime’s Health Ministry spokesperson announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers on Thursday as an unprecedented 8293 new Covid-19 cases, of which 2924 are hospitalized. As a result, the number of new cases has doubled in two weeks and quadrupled in four months. The spokesperson said 399 people have died in the past 24 hours and 5055 patients are in dire conditions.

“Difficult and painstaking conditions demand that all government and state apparatuses in the country must be prepared as if we are at war and placing all their efforts into fighting this virus,” she added, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“Positive cases are increasing across the country. Fifty percent of patients hospitalized in ICUs are dying,” said Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi on Wednesday. “As a result, for the next few days we should be expecting a rise in the number of deaths… Right now, commuting between and inside cities is at 94 percent in comparison to pre-coronavirus conditions. Meaning all our restrictive measures have led to just a six percent decrease which is nothing at all,” he added, according to state TV.

“Around five to six million people are workers who have no insurance history or record of working with contractors. And now Covid-19 is literally endangering their lives. Covid-19 has placed its boot on the throat of six million worker families who have no insurance,” said the head of the Workers Associations Union on Thursday, according to the state-run Khorasan daily.

Alireza Zali, the head of the national Covid-19 Task Force, said on Wednesday, “There are reportedly 6,125 patients in [Tehran] province’s hospitals. For the fifth consecutive day, the number of hospitalized Covid-19 patients has not gone under 6,000. Around 700 people are in ICU. From mid-September, Tehran broke its own record of daily Covid-19 deaths and cases. In the third Covid-19 peak, we’ve sadly seen no reduction and the stats are still growing. The exhaustion of the medical staff is very worrying. If the new waves of coronavirus infection go beyond the capacity of our health system, it will become a serious challenge.” (Source: ISNA news agency, October 28)

Mohammad Talebpour, the head of Tehran’s Sina hospital said on Wednesday, “What has been remarkable in the past two weeks is the high number of people who die upon their entrance to the emergency department.” (Source: State television, October 28)

The head of Golestan hospital in Kermanshah said on Thursday, “By accepting 900 new patients, we’ve surpassed the capacity of the hospital and the available beds. In the past three weeks, the situation has been so bad that in Golestan and Emam Reza hospitals, we haven’t had free beds for as much as two hours. If the situation persists, even 1,400 beds will not be enough.” (Source: Fars News Agency, October 29)

In Kerman province, a member of the scientific council of the medical sciences university said, “It is predicted that in November and December, Covid-19 will spread beyond the capacity of hospitals. Today, we broke the record of daily deaths in the past few months with 24 casualties. Almost 1,000 people are hospitalized. Doctors believe that many of the Covid-19 tests that turn out negative are in fact Covid-19 case. If we take into account all these suspicious cases, the number of deaths will be double, which means we have 40-50 daily Covid-19 deaths.” (Source: ISNA, October 29)

In West Azerbaijan province, the deputy commander of the academic coronavirus garrison said, “Covid-19 deaths have surpassed 1,700 and continue to grow at an accelerating pace. In West Azerbaijan, 1,469 people are hospitalized, 272 people are in ICU, and 85 are in critical conditions and on ventilator support.” (Source: IRIB news agency, October 29)

The caretaker of Alborz province Medical Sciences University said, “In the past 24 hours, 19 Covid-19 patients have lost their lives and the total number of deaths has reached 1,660.” (Source: IRIB news agency, October 29)
