Robert Torricelli, former member of the U.S. Senate, delivered a speech at the Free Iran 2018 rally, the largest gathering of the Iranian opposition, which took place in Villepinte, France, in June.
“We stand with the people of Ashraf, with the MEK, with the people of Iran fighting for freedom in the streets of Iran. I’m betting that we will win,” Torricelli said. “To those brave souls in the streets of Tehran, look to Ashraf. Being Iranian doesn’t mean you have to be poor, live in oppression. Being Iranian means you can be prosperous and have a future for your children.”
