“Nothing has changed since February 25, 2020. There is no management of coronavirus. We have left the virus to roam free, and some people are benefiting from it. They do not care about the people who are dying by the thousands,” said a professor of statistics and epidemiology in Tehran Medical Sciences University, according to a Tuesday piece posted on the Javan website, an outlet affiliated to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

“[Deputy Health Minister Iraj] Harirchi has said that we should increase the official death toll by 250 or 300 percent. However, I say that you should increase the official death toll by seven-fold! According to stats I have received from various areas since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, I have realized that in several regions we can increase the official death toll up to seven-fold to realize the accrual stats. In September 2020, we had an estimated 350,000 fatalities; however, they have engineered the details,” he added.

“Currently, several Covid-19 patients have contracted a fungus disease, especially black fungal. They will be blind if we fail to provide Amphotericin B. This medicine is currently hard to find, and ten people have been infected with such a fungal in Tehran’s Khomeini Hospital, and they are in urgent need of Amphotericin B,” said an epidemiologist at the Khomeini Hospital on Tuesday, according to the Mehr news agency,  an outlet affiliated with the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“The daily death toll in Khuzestan was above 60 people in the past week, which is 1.7 time the national stats. 20 to 25 percent of the death cases were either in the emergency branch or in less than 24 hours after the patient was hospitalized,” said the head of the Khuzestan Health Center on Tuesday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“The stat of hospitalized cases was immediately increased, and the situation went out of our control. Both our hospitals have reached full capacity, and we cannot admit even one more patient,” said the deputy dean of Neyshabour Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“This county is currently in its worst coronavirus situation since this virus emerged. The trend of positive tests has quadrupled in comparison to four months ago,” said the dean of Torbat Heydarieh Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“Our coronavirus daily death toll in [West Azerbaijan] province remains more than 20 people, and it reached 21 cases in the past 24 hours. Currently, there are 1858 hospitalized patients, 286 of whom are in ICUs, and 72 patients are under ventilators,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Tuesday.

“During the past 24 hours 611 patients have been hospitalized while 379 were released. Currently we have 3543 patients hospitalized across [Isfahan] province. During the past 24 hours 47 patients have lost their lives,” said the spokesperson of Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Tuesday.

“During the past 18 months 56 minors have died of coronavirus. From March 2020 to March 2021, 900 minors with coronavirus symptoms were admitted in this hospital. However, we have admitted 1800 children infected with coronavirus from March 21 to this day,” said the head of the Imam Hossein Hospital’s Children Center on Tuesday.

“Hormozgan province registered a record of 25 coronavirus deaths in one day, and currently there are 1114 patients with coronavirus symptoms hospitalized,” said the spokesperson of Hormozgan Medical Sciences University on Tuesday.

“We are repeatedly increasing the number beds in our hospitals. However, the pace of patients being hospitalized is too high, and our capacity is limited,” said the dean of Kermanshah Medical Sciences University on Tuesday.
