Iran, Tehran, March 13, 2018 – Following a widespread protest both nationally and internationally calling for the release of detained women who had been arrested for participating in the International Women's Day, the Iranian regime was forced to release 14 of them from the notorious Gharchak Varamin’s Prison. It has been days since families of these detained women have been taking part in a daily sit-in and protest outside both Gharechak and Evin Prisons demanding the release of their loved ones.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi called on her message on the occasion of March 8 for the immidiate and unconditional release of these women. She condemned measures taken by the misogynist regime for arresting and imprisoning these brave women. She also condemned assault, battery, and arrest of the brave women who had gathered in front of the ministry, calling for urgent action to release the detainees.
