Iran, March 13, 2018 - Deputy police commander, Asgar Savary, in Golestan province, northern Iran, showed his fear of anti-regime protests during the National Fire Fest held on the eve of the last Wednesday of the Iranian Year.
He expressed his regret by saying that the National Fire Fest has become a social panic.
Savary told the regime’s media on Monday that “security of the society is important to us, and people should follow the instructions for preventing any accidents from happening.”
He also threatened protesters and activists warning them by saying: “this is a warning; police will use heavy-handed measures to confront those who want to take advantage of this occasion and create unrests in the city.”
