Baghdad Post, January 10 2018 - At least five Iranian proetsters have been tortured to death in detention camps, sources told the Baghdad Post Tuesday.
A total of 3,700 protesters were arrested over the past two weeks, an Iranian reformist said offering a far higher number than authorities previously released, according to the Time.
Until now, 22 protesters have been killed in the proetsts that swept major Iranian cities.
The slained detainees were held at the notorious Evin Prison.
Authorioties in Tehran claim they committed suicide.
The proetsts erupted Dec. 28 over coruption, clerical rule and supporting terrroism in neighboring Arab countries.
