Iranian Resistance calls for blacklisting of Iranian regime president, intel ministry

Analysis by PMOI/MEK

Iran, Agu. 3, 2019 – Following sanctions against Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Iranian regime Minister of Foreign Affairs, on July 31, in a press release, Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chairman of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, (NCRI), Foreign Affairs Commission, urged the U.S. to put the regime’s President Hassan Rouhani and its Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) on the list of U.S. terror sanctions.

“Zarif and his ministry are the facilitators of the regime’s internal oppression, warmongering, terrorism and its race to obtain weapons of mass destruction. Zarif’s greatest honor, according to himself, is his acquaintances with Hezbollah’s chief Hassan Nasrallah and Ghasem Suleimani, head of the regime’s terrorist-designated Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force. This fact once again proves that Rouhani and the regime’s Supreme Leader, [Ali] Khamenei, are two sides of the same coin and have no other goal than to extend the rule of the mullahs, who are the main instigators of conflict and chaos in the region,” Mohadessin said.

“The time for Zarif, Rouhani and their so-called ‘moderate’ ilk to continue touting the illusion of moderation and reform inside the regime, backed by the appeasement policy, is over. This is the will of the Iranian people, who, during their popular uprisings in 2018, called for the complete downfall of this oppressive and terrorist regime, and chanted ‘reformist, conservatives, the game is over,'” the NCRI Foreign Affairs Commission Chairman added.
