In a recent session held at the European Parliament at the initiative of Friends of a Free Iran Committee, Tunne Kelam, member of Bureau of EPP Group, European Parliament delivered a speech stressing.
Thank you very much it has been a major political and legal victory happening this year for all of us and first of all for the Iranian opposition now the problem is how to benefit from this victory and there are still major obstacles and prejudices political opposition by most countries governments and the problem with the people in camp Ashraf now in camp Liberty are human asset which we need to safeguard and preserve they deserve it and I think it is now over a year a new condition it is our first task to clear the room and make preparations for the member states so they be ready to take them. They will not be a burden to any country they will be temporary and there are still people who are wounded more than a year ago as a result of the Iraqi security forces attack and who have not been granted medical treatment they deserve so several of them have died and we bare responsibility for this. Delisting opens the way to normal political activities of the Iranian opposition. Madam Rajavi paid her first visit of the delisting to Estonia a bit more than a month ago we had a conference in the Estonian Parliament we had a meeting with the Foreign Affairs’ committee with several political groups and meetings with the members of government ministry of Interior, defense and others they had good press coverage so I very much hope that this will continue to other EU member states and just to greet Madam Rajavi and the Iranian opposition and introduce their goals of a positive democratic alternative to the European governments and public opinions in this way we can ease the way to Iranian freedom. Thank you very much.
