Reporting by PMOI/MEK

Iran, August 22, 2020—The Iranian Resistance Units, the internal network of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), continued their anti-regime activities on Wednesday, August 19, and Thursday, August 20, in various cities across Iran.

Despite the mullahs’ regime repression, Resistance Units carried out their activities in the cities of Tehran, Isfahan, Yazd, Karaj, Ramsar, Qom, Nishapur and Zabol, echoing the Iranian people’s desire to overthrow the mullahs’ rule and to establish freedom and democracy.

On Thursday, the Resistance Unit members held up signs and took to graffiti with slogans and inspiring messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), calling for regime change.

Their slogans read:

“The sacred blood of those martyrs, particularly those slain in 1988, is inspiring Iran’s nation today”

“The demons ruling our country are slaughtering us similar to the [1988] massacre of the political prisoners.”

“We will overthrow the evil regime in Iran. This commitment is our dignity.”

“The only way to realize freedom is to revolt.”

“Overthrowing the mullahs’ regime is possible through the Resistance Units.”

“Down with Khamenei, Damn Khomeini, Hail to Rajavi”

“Iran Maryam, Maryam Iran”

On Friday, August 21, Resistance Units also expressed their support for the ongoing strike of employees and workers of Iran’s oil, natural gas, and petrochemical industries. They installed handwritten slogans reading:

“We support the workers’ strike”

“Supporting workers’ strike is every Iranian’s duty”

“Raise your voice in protest as much as you can”

Also, on Wednesday, the rebellious and defiant Iranian youth targeted sites associated to the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) in the cities of Isfahan, Zahedan, and Karaj.

In Zahedan, rebellious youth in Zahedan torched a regime center for suppressing university students.

Also, in Karaj, Iran’s defiant youth targeted an IRGC Basij base. The Basij are the most hated suppressive paramilitary force inside Iran and a subsidiary of the terrorist designated IRGC. Its main role is preserve the mullahs’ regime through the crack down of protests and demonstrations, such as the November 2019 nationwide uprising.
