Iranian opposition network target regime hallmarks

Iran, Aug. 8, 2019 – Members of “Resistance Units,” a network associated directly to the Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), continued their anti-regime measures in cities across the country. Sites of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Basij paramilitary units and state police, along with images of the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

It is worth noting that the U.S State Department recently designated the IRGC as a “Foreign Terrorist Organization” (FTO).

Members of Resistance Unit 422 in Tehran set fire to a large Khamenei banner.

 

 

 

In Urmia, northwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 449 set fire to the entrance of a state police station.

 

 

 

In Isfahan, central Iran, members of Resistance Unit 354 set fire to a sign at the entrance of a large IRGC Basij base.

 

 

 

Members of Resistance Unit 624 in this same city set fire to an IRGC Basij sign.

 

 

 

Also in Isfahan, members of Resistance Unit 578 set fire to an IRGC Basij base sign.

 

 

 

In Karaj, west of Tehran, members of Resistance Unit 430 set fire to a large Khamenei billboard.

 

 

 

Members of Resistance Unit 473 in this same city also set fire to a billboard associated with the notorious Ministry of Intelligence & Security (MOIS).

 

 

 

Members of Resistance Unit 406 also in Karaj set fire to a large banner of Khamenei and regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini.

 

 

 

In Gilan, northern Iran, members of Resistance Unit 214 took to graffiti on the walls of an IRGC Basij base and wrote: “Death to Khamenei” and “Hail to Rajavi,” referring to Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

 

 

 

In Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari Province, southwest Iran, members of resistance units set fire to a large Khamenei billboard.

 

 

 

In Khash, southern Iran, members of Resistance Unit 340 set fire to an IRGC Basij base sign.

 

 

 

In Mazandaran Province, northern Iran, members of Resistance Unit 405 set fire to images of Khamenei and Khomeini at a regime-linked site. In other areas of this province, they set expressed their hatred towards the mullahs’ regime by damaging various Khamenei images.

 

 

 

In Saveh, southwest of Tehran, members of a resistance unit took to graffiti to express their support for “Ashraf 3,” the new site of PMOI/MEK members in Albania, and 1988 massacre justice movement seeking to hold regime officials accountable for the atrocious execution of over 30,000 political prisoners over three decades ago. Most of the victims were PMOI/MEK members or supporters.
