Iranian opposition network further marks PMOI/MEK anniversary

Iran, September 15, 2019—As crises continue to riddle the Iranian regime both inside the country and abroad, members of “Resistance Units,” a network associated directly to the Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), launched a massive campaign marking this organization’s 54th founding anniversary.

In Kermanshah, western Iran, members of Resistance Unit 767 put up a placard at a famous hilltop in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Iran’s freedom.

In Kerman, central Iran, members of Resistance Unit 314 also put up a PMOI sign hailing this organization.

In Tehran’s Imam Ali Highway, members of Resistance Unit 814 put up an image of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi on a pedestrian bridge.

Members of Resistance Unit 250 in the Iranian capital up an image and quoting of Iranian opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), saying, “We will take back Iran and rebuild this most beautiful country.”

In Tabriz, northwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 300 also put up images quoting Mrs. Rajavi saying, “Anyone seeking freedom must rise to overthrow the mullahs’ regime.”

 

In Dorud, western Iran, members of Resistance Unit 470 set fire to the entrance of a regime-associated building.

Also in Dorud, members of Resistance Unit 329 set fire to the entrance of a Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Basij paramilitary base.

In Behbahan, southwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 560 set fire to a pro-regime banner. Also in this city, members of Resistance Unit 120 set fire to large billboard portraying pro-regime propaganda.

In more reports from Behbahan, members of Resistance Unit 188 set fire to the entrance of an IRGC Basij base.

In the city of Golpayegan, southwest Iran, members of Resistance Unit 956 set fire to a sign at the entrance of an IRGC Basij base.

In Karaj, west of Tehran, members of Resistance Unit 844 set fire to an IRGC Basij base sign.

In Karaj, members of resistance units 472, 422 and 411 set fire to the entrance of various IRGC Basij bases.

In the cities of Semnan, Chuka, and Isfahan, members of resistance units 414, 320 and 854, respectively, targeted the regime’s IRGC Basij bases, propaganda billboards and images of Iranian regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini and current Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In the cities of Rezvanshahr, Rudsar, and Kuhdasht, members of resistance units 114, 555 and 680 set fire to various IRGC Basij bases.

In the cities of Bigzad Mahaleh and Gonbad-e Kavus, members of resistance units 340, 366 and 146 set fire to the entrance of various regime bases, including IRGC Basij sites.

In Shahr-e Kord and Rudbar, members of resistance units 722 and 210 set fire to the entrances of IRGC Basij bases.

In Golpayegan, on a highway leading to Tabriz and on a road to the city of Maku, resistance units 954, 104 and 193 also set fire to IRGC Basij bases and pro-regime propaganda billboards.

In Tehran, resistance units 429, 649 and 601 set fire to various pro-regime billboards, including those of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

In the cities of Zahedan, Khuy and Tehran, members of resistance units 752, 326 and others set fire to billboards and other pro-regime icons.

In a road leading to the city of Urmia, in Bandar Abbas and Gonbad-e Kavus, resistance units 661, 790 and 888 set fire to pro-regime billboards and Khomeini/Khamenei images.

In Lahijan, Dehdasht and Khash, members of resistance units 154, 320 and 326 targeted pro-regime posters and billboards.

In the cities of Zahedan and Nosrat Abad, both in Sistan & Baluchistan Province, southeast Iran, members of resistance units 652, 182 and 155 set fire to the entrance of IRGC Basij bases.

In the cities of Zahedan, Neishabur and Babol, members of resistance units 412, 425 and 640 set fire to various posters, billboards and other pro-regime icons.

In the cities of Ilam, Khuy and Shiraz, members of resistance units 400, 116 and others targeted various images of Khamenei.

In Gonbad-e Kavus, Hamedan, Marand and Kuhdasht, members of resistance units 188, 460, 690 and 424 also set fire to fire to images of the mullahs’ leader Ali Khamenei.
