Iranian opposition MEK network posting images of resistance leaders

Reporting by PMOI/MEK

Iran, December 23, 2019—Iranian Resistance “Resistance Units” members and supporters of the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) are literally continuing the November uprising by posting images of resistance leaders in cities across the country. A growing network in many cities and towns throughout Iran are risking their lives to bravely pursue pro-resistance activities targeting the mullahs’ regime.

People across Iran are continuously witnessing scenes of Resistance Units members displaying quotes from messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

In Tehran, two posters of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi were posted on pedestrian bridges, one quoting the former saying, “Provide support for rebellious youth.” Another poster read a Maryam Rajavi quote: “This uprising belongs to the entire freedom-loving Iranian population that is currently enchained by the mullahs’ regime.”

Another poster quoted Massoud Rajavi saying, “The mullahs and the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) will not survive this uprising, with whatever ups and downs the protests may witness.”

In another part of Tehran, a Massoud Rajavi poster read, “The liberation army strategy has proven effective through rebellious centers, neighborhoods and cities. This is an uprising until victory.” A Maryam Rajavi poster reads, “The mullahs’ regime has reached its end,” and “The Iranian people and Resistance have pledged to topple this regime.”

In Abadan, southwest Iran, images of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi were put up with quotes reading, “The overthrow of the inhumane enemy (mullahs’ regime) is certain” and “We can and we must overthrow the mullahs’ regime.”

In Karaj, west of Tehran, four similar posters read quotes saying, “Resistance Units have kept the uprising flames alive across Iran,” “The time to expand and multiply rebellious, neighborhoods and cities is now,” “Protests and strikes at any time and any place is necessary to continue and expand the uprising,” and “The liberation army strategy has spread across the country.”

Graffiti writing in various cities also indicate a lively population continuing their struggle against the mullahs’ regime through all possible means.

Isfahan: “Death to Khamenei, Hail to Rajavi!” referring to Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Tehran: “We shall fight, we may die, yet we’ll take Iran back!”

In Isfahan, MEK supporters were seen tearing apart and setting fire to images of Khamenei.

It is worth noting that any support for the PMOI inside Iran is considered punishable by death by the mullahs’ judiciary. Back in June 2014, Gholamreza Khosravi, an MEK supporter, was arrested and executed merely for sending a small financial donation to a satellite TV network affiliated to the PMOI/MEK. “Gholamreza Khosravi Savadjani was arrested in 2008 in Rafsanjan, Kerman Province, in connection with his alleged support of the pro-PMOI (People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran) TV station Sima-ye Azadi (Voice of Freedom),” according to Amnesty International.
