Iranian opposition MEK continuing relentless anti-regime campaigns

Reporting by PMOI/MEK

Iran, December 13, 2019—Members of the Iranian Resistance “Resistance Units” and supporters of the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), comprising a vast network inside Iran, are relentlessly risking their lives and braving all odds carrying out pro-resistance activities against the mullahs’ regime. Many cities and towns across the country are continuously becoming scenes of Resistance Units members displaying quotes from messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

These Resistance Units and PMOI/MEK supporters are daring dangerous odds in continuing their activities despite the brutal crackdown imposed by the mullahs’ regime. The numbers are horrific as MEK sources have confirmed 1,029 protesters killed (320 in Kermanshah Province alone and 432 names confirmed), over 4,000 injured and at least 12,000 arrested. The number of those detained is rising.

In Tehran, a MEK supporter says this footage is for the Iran National Television (INTV) satellite network indicating how locals in the Shemiran district are continuing their struggle against the mullahs’ regime.

Graffiti is seen everywhere across the country as protesters write, “Death to Khamenei!” in reference to Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In Shiraz, south-central Iran, more graffiti was seen quoting Massoud Rajavi, “The overthrow of the inhumane enemy is certain!”

In Mashhad, northeast Iran, graffiti was seen quoting Maryam Rajavi, “The ground under the mullahs’ regime is shaking” and “Death to Khamenei – Hail to Rajavi.”

In Isfahan, central Iran, more graffiti was seen writing, “The only path to freedom is the path of the MEK. Death to Khamenei. Hail to Rajavi.” Other graffiti was seen quoting Maryam Rajavi saying, “Women are the force of change and this force will defeat the mullahs’ regime,” and “Hail to freedom-loving and rebellious women.”

In Tabriz, northwest Iran, graffiti was seen quoting Massoud Rajavi and voicing the people’s utter hatred of the mullahs’ regime.

In the city of Khoy, northwest Iran, graffiti read, “The uprising for freedom will flare up!” In Zanjan, also in northwest Iran, graffiti writing read, “Death to Khamenei – Hail to Rajavi” and “quoting the Iranian Resistance leader saying, “The end of the inhumane enemy is certain.”

In Shahroud, east of Tehran, graffiti writing read, “College students would rather die than live in shame.”

In Karaj, west of Tehran, various graffiti writings further voiced the Iranian people’s yearning to overthrow the mullahs’ regime and supporting Iranian opposition leaders Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi.

In Kermanshah, western Iran, graffiti read, “Death to Khamenei, Hail to Rajavi!” Similar graffiti was also seen in Qom, central Iran, and East Azerbaijan Province, located in northwest Iran.

It is worth noting that any support for the PMOI inside Iran is considered punishable by death by the mullahs’ judiciary. Back in June 2014, Gholamreza Khosravi, a MEK supporter, was arrested and executed merely for sending a small financial donation to a satellite TV network affiliated to the PMOI/MEK. “Gholamreza Khosravi Savadjani was arrested in 2008 in Rafsanjan, Kerman Province, in connection with his alleged support of the pro-PMOI (People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran) TV station Sima-ye Azadi (Voice of Freedom),” according to Amnesty International.
